Not very close to airport
Expedia agent told me that the hotel was 1/2 mile from the airport which is a lie. The hotel was more than three miles from the airport and cost me $40.00 euros round trip. It was not very good information. According to my experience in the past, Expedia always send me to very far away hotel/condo accommodations. My experience when went to Munich, Germany last year, the hotel was outside of Munich...... The agent told me that he did not know where the center of Munich was....... I think you should inform your agents better. They are very polite but don't know much about the distance where the hotels are from airports to center of the city.

A perfect place to stop overnight - UK to Spain
We stayed here on our drive down from the UK to Benidorm, Spain. We had wanted to take a different route this time, by travelling down the West coast of France. This hotel is on the main ring road around Bordeaux and about halfway on our trip. So it made a great place to make an overnight stop. We arrived mid afternoon, so had plenty of time to sit out on the terrace and enjoy a few glasses of wine. In the evening we had dinner in the restaurant, overlooking the pool, which was very pleasant. The rooms are like USA style motel chalets, set in blocks about the grounds, with plenty of parking spaces next to the rooms. The rooms themselves are getting a little tired and dated, but were still clean and comfortable, with good TV and air-con. As a budget hotel, this made the perfect place to stop overnight on our way to Spain.

Very good, comfortable place to stay.
I arrived there from the airport, after a long two day journey with a layover in Lisbon. I just wanted a peaceful place to crash when prices in Bordeaux were very high because of a Euro Soccer game that happened to be in town. The room was clean and faced a rear garden, which was nice. There was also a very good "menu du jour" for $20 at the restaurant, which was great. It was a fine place to stay for a night before taking the M01 bus downtown.

Terrible mattress
staff were helpful and the breakfast was fine but the mattress was so terrible I barely slept. There was only 1 towel for 2 of us so we had to reuse the 1 towel! We also booked the hotel as it had a pool but the pool was closed and was totally run down. The chalet style rooms had very little sound proofing and i was also woken by people returning to their rooms arguing and swearing. We told reception and said we were checking out due to this and they did refund the cost of breakfast but not the cost of the second night as we had booked on the Internet on hotels.com

Excellent restaurant easy autoroute access
A Motel, not a Hotel. Positives: V cheap, easy access for transit through Bordeaux, surpringly good part open air under cover with outside grill and good bar restaurant, although service a little slow, our tiny double room was freshly decorated and the cleaning staff were meticulous and friendly. TV, parking outside front door, wi fi in restaurant area, parking outside front door. Negatives: Room 22 had an off putting and smelly brown carpet that we didn't want to walk on in bare feet or put luggage on. Otherwise this review would be 4 stars.

OK if you're driving
I picked this hotel because it was close to the airport but there is no shuttle service and you have to get a taxi or public bus, which stops quite far from the hotel. So, unless you have a car, it makes no sense. Rooms are fine, bathroom is as big as the room. Service was acceptable. There is free wi-fi and an average breakfast for 7 Euros.

Excellent value and a lovely garden.
The hotel is set in a lovely garden and I was able to take my breakfast on the terrace by the pool. Although my room was not very large, it was very clean and had everything I needed for my stay, including free wi-fi . The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a good selection of daily dishes for lunch and dinner and the continental breakfast buffet is well supplied (croissants, yoghurts,juices...)Excellent value!

Very basic but good for the price
The hotel is situated in an industrial area. Motel like layout which I liked. Restaurant was very cheap for dinner but you get what you pay for. All in all nothing special but ok for a couple of nights if you want to visit Bordeaux.

Good deal, convenient, kind staff. Very no-frills
When my flight out of Bordeaux got cancelled, I had to find a hotel last-minute -- on a Friday night in early August. Thankfully, L'Étoile bleue had a room left. The reception staff is kind and accomodating, very down-to-earth. The hotel itself is clean, simple, straightforward: I had a big room with no carpeting (which in some ways is preferable... easier to keep clean) and a queen-sized bed and a table and a chair and a wardrobe and a back patio... All for 60 euro/night. The room was clean, the bed comfortable enough. Expect convenience, not luxe. (A taxi from the airport at 8pm on a Friday cost 16 euro, fyi.)

Rundown hotel too far away from local amenities.
They messed up our booking saying Expedia always forget to advise them. Tried to charge 30 euros more or asked us to leave. After leaving I went back to have them draft a letter saying we had arrived but no reservation and they suddenly found the reservation. Room was tiny, with a wooden external wall with a gap in it. Wifi did not work in the room and water was cold. When I mentioned this to reception they said it was because they were busy. There must be many better motels nearby at a better price. Website info should be reviewed.
