Dirty Room but Some Good Service
The room was not clean upon arrival and had no working ac. A very nice engineer named Ned fixed it quickly, however. The room had leftover trash in night stand drawers, had not been dusted, and had dirty bathroom counters. Dusting and cleaning of bathrooms never happened. The bar staff was very nice. Room service dinner food was good, but was way overpriced with no real silverware or plates, just a bag with plastic and paper . Breakfast from room service was not good.

Absolutely absurd and improper interaction with security. We had paid for a late check out & we were harassed by the security person that opened our door. We reached out through the very nice housekeeping staff on our floor (15) since our key card was shut off at noon without our knowledge. I travel extensively & have stayed at many Hilton properties, also a Hilton Honors Member. This is my first experience where I felt unsafe & harassed, that too by someone who is supposed to provide safety on the premises? Please coach and train your personnel better- it’s a great property & they should do better. Called to file an incident report as instructed - this occurred 8/16/2024

The Hotel lobby was beautiful. The room I was not happy with. My main complaint is there was only one mirror and it was in the bathroom which had only one light and I couldn’t even see myself to get ready to go out. I had to go down to the lobby bathroom to do my makeup. The carpet was a little damp. For 300 a night don’t expect that. One our way in husband tip the porter in the front who only brought our bags about five feet and another came to grab our stuff to bring to the room. Which means another tip. Might not mean a lot to most people but I work hard and expected for what I paid.

This hotel is well situated in downtown Boston. The room is of good size and the staff is pretty friendly although you can often expect long lines waiting at the front desk. The biggest issue we had was the curtains. They did not close :( While there was a white shade, it was semi-transparent allowing lights to come through. So sleeping in the room, we could see the lights from outside quite clearly. And it was not a good night of sleep for us.

For a large hotel, the service was very personal. Our room was large and comfortable. The location was perfect for walking through the Boston Common, shopping on Newbury St. and going to the theatre.

Hotel facilities and the staff are good. However, the rooms are too expensive, very small and old. For the price, you can get better rooms in other hotels near by.

Sink was clogged, electric blinds didn’t work, appetizer wings were dry and overcooked, mouse in the breakfast dining area, couldn’t understand a lot of the staff, the 15 dollar a day charge wasn’t for me because I don’t drink and your menu didn’t appeal to me, a maid knocked on my door at 9:30 pm and asked me if I was checking out. I had to tell him I wasn’t checking out for another 2 days. Not an enjoyable stay. I probably will stick to smaller hotels. When you go to these larger hotels, they don’t seem to care about upkeep but still charge the exhorbinant price

Unfortunately our flights from London Heathrow were cancelled at short notice. We tried multiple times to request a revision to our booking but whenever we spoke with Expedia they told us that they couldn’t get through to the hotel. Then when we spoke to the hotel and said our flight had been delayed and we needed to amend our reservation from 3 to 1 night they said we can’t process unless we hear from Expedia even though it is your booking. End result neither Expedia or the Park Plaza willing to accommodate and have been charged the full price for our stay. Very disappointing

Need better attention in bathroom
Of course it's an older hotel, but the bathroom was maybe cleaned but there was a partial dead bug on floor and hair in tub, the tub was also backed up not draining well, my husband fixed there was hair clogged in drain.

I would pick another hotel
I purchased 3 rooms for all of our family. 2 out of the 3 rooms were very small. The other one was remodeled. Our bathroom was so small you could barely move. The thermostat didn't work the whole time so our room was so hot. Our phone didn't work in the room so I had to go find extra towels each day
