Hotel is near the green line which is convenient in traveling around Boston! Definitely a good place to stay and would come here again. My only complaint was the hard bed as it wasn’t as comfortable but that doesn’t mean the hotel does not deserve the 5 star!

Staff seemed aloof and too self absorbed to offer any real help or info even regarding how the room service worked, no fridge or microwave in hotel, smallest most cramped room, bellhop said phone system was broken. As a whole, just a snooty hotel with a cramped as hell room, poor communication about receipt & valet. Not a good experience. Stayed the night prior at the Hilton Doubletree in Danvers and that was fantastic. What a contrast.

They waited until my card was charged to disclose there was a major strike that woke up all guests every morning at 6:00 AM. My hairdryer was broken and called down to the front desk and they told me to let my hair air dry. The tv and windows were both streaky to the point where when I turned the tv on I had to dust it myself. We have stayed there a few years prior and always recommend it when staying in Boston so it’s a shame.

the Hilton disregarded to inform us that their staff is on strike. so no one working was able to help with much. most services were shut down or not great. and the workers striking from 7am-10pm had everyone on edge.

Disappointing
The Park Plaza is noted as being one of the nicest, most historic hotels in all of Boston. The small room size is no surprise, as it is old and you can clearly see the room size when booking the hotel. However, I was not made aware during booking that a massive strike was happening at the hotel, consisting of loud drums and horns from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. every single day, creating an environment that made it impossible for our baby to sleep or us to relax. Both the hotel staff and Hotels.com were unhelpful, and I have still not been offered any solutions or compensation for the significant disruption. The strikes led to no rest or relaxation, and resulted in practically no housekeeping or guest services. I love this city, but I will never stay in this hotel again. Stay far away.

The hotel and staff were exceptional. Everyone was kind and courteous and made our stay wonderful. However, they were experiencing a staff protest which meant that housekeeping etc was not at expected standard. The demonstrations were noisy at night, but the participants were considerate when we needed to pass and were obviously there just to make their needs known and not cause intimidation.

Horrible stay
Had horrible two nights at the property. Stayed for a night each with a gap of one day and both times the hotel staff was on strike so no room service, basic essentials like body wash, body cream bottles were missing from the bathroom. Rooms I got were tiny inspite of what i had booked on hotels.com. Lobby was always crowded, checkin took half hour. Breakfast area had no tables available, bar took 25 mins to serve a drink. Attitude of the reception was as if they didn’t care. I check out two days early and moved to another hotel.
