Good mid-range hotel but terrible surroundings. Drug treatment clinic has many drug addicts hanging around. Used needles on the sidewalks and road. Numerous Police sirens anytime of day or night. Do not stay here if you want quiet or safe walk outside hotel. Drive in and out only.

After checking in , I heard lots of noise from the outside, in a form of people shouting, yelling etc. when I looked outside my window ( 6th floor window) , my view was about 150 homeless people. And streets filled with debris. There’s a hospital behind the hotel, all night ambulances were coming and going. When I went out to dinner I ordered an Uber because I didn’t feel safe going to the garage at night. The garage smelled awful. I was happy when the morning arrived, just so I can leave. Extremely expensive for a hotel that felt like a cheap motel. My total cost was $275.00 . Shameful!

Staff was pretty good. Neighborhood is very poor, noise is really a problem. Constant sirens all time of the day and night. Toilet malfunctioned constantly. Door to the Main Street entrance was locked causing us to have to go the south side of the property. You don’t want to spend much time on that side of the property. Outdoor seating at the restaurant faces south and is not usable. Cuban restaurant was fun. Deferred maintenance poor neighborhood, loud, poor value for the money. Walk to Northeastern not as pleasant as from other directions.

While the hotel itself was nice enough the surrounding area was filled with drug addicts. In the short walk across the street from the garage there were two men shooting up, the area behind the hotel was filled with people doing the same, there was a woman that looked to be from the walking dead (poor thing) wailing all night at the top of her lungs, police sirens all night, and then a helicopter from the hospital next door. I would not recommend staying here at all.

Our room had a falling door where our clothes would be stored. It was falling off the hinge along with the cabinet door next to it. I called 2 times and 2 face to face request to the front desk staff to have someone come out to fix it (3 days), let alone ever getting additional blankets we requested which we never got. The maid and maintenance people were great, but the desk staff was terrible. The maintenance supervisor could not fix it and he placed us in another room. That room was a couple of doors down and was night and day in comparison to the room we’re in. The hotel wasn’t cheap an we expected better rooms and customer service. Expedia, stated they would send my complaint to hotel management during our stay, to date zero reply. No surprise. I researched the hotel reviews that were great. My suggestion going forward is to read the yelp reviews. Totally different story. Wouldn’t have chosen this hotel if I looked there. I expected more from this level of hotel and from its brand association. We will never go back.

The facilities were clean and the breakfast was satisfying. It's conveniently close to Boston's main attractions. Parking wasn't inconvenient, but you need to use the public lot across the street. There's a laundry service, but no coin-operated washers or dryers. The air conditioning was very noisy, and it was hard to sleep due to sirens from what seemed like ambulances or police cars throughout the night.

The check in process needs to include how you get your parking validated. We ended by paying $40 to park and hotel would not reimburse and did not inform about having parking ticket validated. This happened to multiple people

I've stayed at many Hamptons Inns, and this was by far the worst. The staff was poor (one expected me to wait in a line of people checking in before he performed the literal 5 second task of taking my room number for a drink purchase); the facility was poorly maintained (my shower didn't work, and the metal ring around the controller was detached and rolling around); and, worst, on the back side of the hotel was a constant hangout of a dozen severe drug addicts. They were literally shooting up and fighting ("Where's my money?!") in broad daylight. The police did not arrest them, but conveniently did drive by every hour or so--until AT LEAST 1 AM--to use a high-volume loudspeaker to tell them to move on. Good luck sleeping if you're on that side of the hotel.

The carpet was dirty and smelly. The reception area also smell terrible as soon as we stepped in the doorway.
