The single room (with shared hallway bathroom) is small like a ship cabin. It was a bit pricey for the size of the room but it was half the cost of anything else in the area. Breakfast is included and was good. There were healthy options.

Good location but not our favorite
We stayed at Irving House while moving our college student primarily because it was dog friendly and due to location. Proximity to Harvard Square is very convenient. Our room was clean. The staff, except for one, was friendly and helpful. Breakfast, although average, was included. The property overall was tired, worn and mismatched. Temperature was controlled at the floor, not individual room, level which was not always comfortable for us. There is no elevator. Some of the bathrooms were not en suite, which we've experienced in Europe, but not in the US. Parking was available. We would look for other options for future stays.

Fresh coffee available at entrance with fresh baked cookies in the afternoon. Staff were excellent - friendly, helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was fantastic with huge array of options, most of which were organic. Convenient parking on site and off street. Will definitely stay again.
