The room was in the basement, I pulled curtains back to see view dark brown stains. The bottom of toilet was stained, also in bathroom the ceiling was coming apart. The guess above me walked and stomped all night and wad dropping stuff on the floor that was right over my head.

The online picture of the facility made it appear the property overlooked a lake. There was a lake a block away but it was not visible from the property and not accessible. It was fenced off. The property is also off of a busy commercial street. Also, this was not apparent from the online pictures. The communication with the property staff was horrible and disappointing. I called during the evening I had checked in (the staff is remote) and left a message for someone to call me. I never received a call. The second day the newly installed LG air conditioner wasn't working. I called during working hours and reached a staff member. He said he would call maintenance and call me back. I had to call him back for an answer after waiting 30 minutes. I was then told that the LG wasn't working and I should use the 'in the window unit'. This was at the end of the business day. Shouldn't maintenance have told the property and shouldn't the property's staff have been proactive and relayed this information to the guests? Also on the second day I called at 4:00 to ask if housekeeping cleans every day. I was told 'yes' and that they'd be in the room to clean. At 6:00 pm I called again because the room hadn't yet been cleaned. I was told that the cleaning staff had left for the day. The person didn't know why, only that the housekeeping staff had left for the day, and then apologized that the room hadn't been cleaned.That was all they could say.

Serviceable for a short stay
Staying in the basement felt kind of grim, especially the long somewhat dirty hallway leading to the room, and the steep stairs which made it difficult to climb with luggage. The room has everything we needed for 1 night- still, it felt like we were staying in someone's basement with mismatched furniture. Definitely not charming. The bed was comfortable though, wifi was good, and parking was easy.

Staying in the "King suite" in the basement was a terrible experience. The walls and floor above have no sound proof. You can hear ppl talking in the rooms around it. Ppl walking in the room upstairs all night then first thing in the morning kept us awake because the floors creek horribly. Ceiling in the bathroom was falling apart. Walking down this crazy set of stairs with luggage was terrible. It was a bad experience for our trip.

I loved this hotel, easy check in and check out!! Great instructions. Only note, for the hotel, wish the hallways were cleaned better, and bottom floor was rough with people walking around at 2am

Located in an great location for the North Shore. Busy traffic area but handled with understanding. Across the street from one of the best breakfast havens I have visited. Extensive renovations underway. Basement rooms a bit claustrophobic and the bathroom has a hard to understand layout e.g. location of the toilet. Cleaning could be improved. The stairwells to the basement are narrow and dark, the west stairwell basically unuseable. Room are well equipped and sleep was comfortable. I'd return but only with a ground floor or second floor room.

The room was recently renovated and was very nice and roomy with a full kitchen, separate bedroom, and a sitting room. Everything was great except the bathroom had a smell that was a blend of chemicals and strong urine. We were also surprised by the construction going on the next morning right next door. There are restaurants and stires within walking distance abd a lake diwn the street
