Very cozy and warm. Fan and light above bed was not working and because it was warm it made it hard to sleep without the fan. They did provide us with a plug in fan which helped. The front desk agent told me there was not a fire pit on property but as seen in photos for the property and on the form they gave me with all the amenities it does have a fire pit outdoors. I also found it on the property but did not bother staff about it since they said they did not know what I was talking about. Overall our stay was good. I enjoyed the hot tub and the complementary coffee. They also storage your ski and snowboard equipment for free. The property was able to accommodate my change dates, which was amazing. I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Stay with Great Amenities and Convenience I stayed at this hotel with my family, and we had a wonderful experience. The dining options around the hotel were excellent, offering a variety of cuisines within walking distance, which made it easy to find something for everyone. Transportation in the area was very convenient, and the hotel’s free parking was a huge bonus for us. It’s also very walkable, which we appreciated as we explored the local area without always needing to drive. The hotel amenities were a highlight, especially the hot tubs, which were perfect for relaxing after a day of winter activities. Overall, the combination of location, convenience, and comfort made this a memorable stay for our family.

The room was nice, but the heating did not work when we arrived. The property manager tried to fix it, but we ended up with a gas fireplace and two portable heaters working overtime to protect us from freezing. Tyler, the maintenance guy, was great, as were all the people at the front desk. We will be back there in the summertime.

Wonderful location, convenient parking on property. They stored our bikes for us with no extra charge. The only thing I would change is we did not have a patio/ balcony which we would have enjoyed, next time we would be sure to request one. The staff was very helpful and we could walk everywhere or take the free city transportation.

It was like staying in a dorm room. There was not even a table to drink tea in the morning. I was on the second floor. At 8 am there were guys with extension ladders coming up on my patio to paint. I understand these guys are working but I’m only there for 2 days. Can’t you give an old lady a little bit of privacy. The whole place was way below expectations.

We were very pleased with the location of River Mountain Lodge! It was so easy to walk to dinner or shops and even a trailhead. We were always able to find parking in the garage when we stayed in September. What I didn’t love was that I thought I booked a specific room based on the pictures I saw and thought I was booking a room with a river balcony. When we got to our room the bedroom was upstairs and the bathroom was downstairs with a balcony on the street. I spoke with the people at the front desk who I must say were very kind but informed me all rooms are different and no river balconies were left. They were able to move us to a room that was all one floor thankfully, but I’m baffled that you don’t get the room you think you’re booking. Our room had rather worn down furniture with fraying carpet however it was clean enough. Overall I don’t think I would stay again unless there is a way to actually view and book the room I want.

Perfect location ! Walking distance from main street , shops restaurants . Parking area was perfect ! Building itself started to look ol d . Room could use some new flooring or carpet

No AC, good staff.
The property does not have AC. On our last day the smoke alarm in our room randomly started going off at 6:30 AM. The property staff had to return twice to get the things out, which continued going off in their office. Not the best way to end our vacation, but the staff tried very hard to make the best of it.
