Very enjoyable stay
We had a great time at that lovely property with a great garden, including a swimming pool that was perfect in light of the hot weather we’ve had during our stay. The table tennis was also very handy for the children. Overall, it was a lovely, comfortable and well equipped property well located in central Brittany which was perfect for visiting our French family based in the area. We also managed a few day trips to the seaside (1hr15mins away) as well as to other local parks/attractions.

Quiet location
Very well equipped, clean, renovated property in very quiet rural location. Very helpful owner and good communication in booking process. Nice pool. BBQ and nice seating area on deck to rear of property and table and chairs in front garden. Plenty of parking. Bicycles available for use. Small village about 5 minute drive with Boulanger and small bar. Nearest restaurant in Rohan about 10 - 15 minute drive away, very limited opening times during our stay. Good supermarket there.

Fantastic house for a family holiday
The house is amazing and in a very nice spot in the countryside with a few other houses dotted around about a mile from a small village with a shop and a couple of restaurants. Perfect for a relaxing family holiday.

Home from home
Jed’s house in Torlan is set in beautiful remote countryside; rolling hills, sheep, horses and is the best equipped house we have ever stayed in. The House; the photos don’t do the house justice if I’m honest. It’s a stunning stone farmhouse, beautifully restored, with no expense spared. Large driveway, plenty of seating with a garden that gets the sun all day (on the one day we actually got the sun...ha!). BBQ, plenty of garden furniture, sun loungers, ping pong table, toys and of course the pool (which is cold but on hot days is fabulous. It didn’t stop our 2 girls diving in everyday anyway!) Large living room with huge tv, dvds, sky, lots of games/books and comfy sofas. Brilliantly equipped kitchen and adjoining utility room. Upstairs 4 lovely bedrooms, clean and light, lots of space and 3 bathrooms. La Cheze is your nearest village with an excellent bakery - 5mins by car but we walked (about 25mins) . Pretty Rohan and Bréhan (ten minutes) with supermarkets (we liked the one in Bréhan) Good base for exploring; Josselin well worth a visit with a beautiful chateau (20mins away) Pontivy also has nice shops and a chateau (30mins) We ventured to the coast one day; Carnac which was gorgeous (about 1hr15) - so if you want to see ‘touristy’ Brittany you will need to drive but we found the peace and tranquility at the house more tempting - particularly as it literally has everything you need.

Excellent family holiday in Brittany
The central location of this farmhouse in Brittany is ideal for visiting lots of places on both the north and south coasts, and exploring the beautiful countryside of inland Brittany, especially along the course of the nearby Nantes - Brest canal. The farmhouse itself has been renovated to a high standard and is really well equipped, both indoors and outdoors. We encountered one or two technical issues but these were quickly dealt with via phone calls with the property manager, who was both quick and attentive in helping to get things sorted. All six of us loved the relaxed evening meals at the outside table, with the opportunity to plunge into the pool at the end of hot days or get overly competitive at table tennis. All our neighbours were really friendly, including horses, sheep and cats as well as the humans. Overall, we had a brilliant time in Brittany.

Home away from home!
What a beautiful house! We arrived to a welcoming atmosphere after a long drive we put the key in the door to discover a home! All the finishing touches from the welcome basket and toiletries to the notes on which vet was best. The indoor was just like the pictures and the outdoor space fabulous with lots of options for sitting relaxing or just sunbathing. Lots of villages and towns within easy reach like Loudéac , Josselin and Pontivy. If you want to go to the coast the best road is to St Breuic. Our dogs loved the space and we loved our time there and were sad to leave. Thank you Jed!

Beautiful setting and house.
I have delayed putting this review on as there were a few problems with our stay. I have contacted the owner to let him know. We felt that the facilities let this place down. The pool was unusable, there was dog mess in the garden. The pool was full of green algae and we were left a note telling us it was safe, but no one wanted to get into the pool as it was slimy and there were orange slicks on the top of the water, it needed emptying, cleaning and refilling. Finding dog poo was not nice as it just showed a lack of care by the owner of the gardens, we had a baby with us who was crawling and felt we could not let her loose in the garden in case there were more poos which we hadn't yet found. One of the showers leaked through the ceiling into the lounge and although we informed the owner it was not repaired while we were there meaning we could only use one shower between six of us. The owner did say that if we had told him again that the shower was not working then he would have had someone look at it, but we had already told him there was a problem, not sure it was our job to keep informing him, we felt someone should have come and looked at it the first time, especially as he had known about the problem three weeks earlier. We could not use the washing line as it had come out of the ground, there were silver fish over the counter in the morning, and on moving the sofa (to avoid the water from the shower) we found mouse droppings which the owner said could be bugs, but they were not, they were mouse droppings and other debris showing it had not been hoovered properly. We did send the owner a long list of the problems we encountered and he did reply but we paid for one holiday and got another less satisfactory one. All in all if the problems are sorted then this is a lovely house. It is very rural, so you do need a vehicle to get around but you can walk easily into the village which is quite pretty.

Great property, very well presented and roomy.
We booked a week for a family 5 adults. The location is just up the road from the local village of La Cheze. Entering the property you are presented with a large open plan kitchen and dining area that has good appliances and is very clean and modern. Everything worked well and the oven was spotless. To the back of the kitchen is a utility room with sink and washing machine and a separate downstairs toilet. The utility room leads onto the rear patio/terrace with plenty of seating and above ground pool. The kitchen also leads into a good size and well appointed lounge with three sofas and large flat screen TV with Sky Freesat channels. There are books and DVD's to use along with some board games. There is also the woodburner but happily in mid July we didn't need it. The kitchen has the stairs taking you up to the first floor where all of the bedrooms are located. Very well presented with excellent quality linens and bedding and plenty of storage space. There is one double bedroom with standard double, a double bedroom with large bed and en-suite, a smaller room with a day bed (that can be pulled out to be a double) and the master bedroom with large double bed, walk-in shower and separate bath tub. The first floor is completed by a family bathroom with bath (no shower). All were spotless. Everything has been really well renovated and is a credit to Jed the owner. It feels like a real home and provides a relaxing place to stay. He was easily contactable with any minor issues or questions. For any shopping needs there is a small 'local store' in La Cheze or for more supermarket type shopping Loudeac is only about 10 minutes away by car and has a range of options. The house is pretty central so the coasts are about an hour or so away. We did Dinard and took the ferry over to St Malo (8.5 euros per adult each way). The chateau town of Josselin was worth a visit and only 20 minutes by car. Likewise Pontivy, another chateau town equally within easy reach. Slightly farther afield is the pink granite coast to the northeast if you fancy a coastal walk of around 7km or so along the 'Sentier des douaniers'. The house was a great place to return to after a day of exploring and was in a very tranquil area. We had a fabulous stay and the weather was perfect. Highly recommended place to stay, our thanks to Jed.
