A refuge in a storm
I booked into the Clayton at Bristol because I couldn't get back to Wales due to Storm Darragh. It was a delight to stay there after a stressful day. The staff were very welcoming, polite and helpful. The restaurant had a good selection of food, friendly and efficient service. As a sole female traveller, I never felt uncomfortable. I slept well, felt refreshed in the morning and was able to continue my onward journey with calm.

Excellent newish hotel in a very accessible location, near to the city centre. We were able to walk around old city haunts and attend the Hippodrome and walk back to the hotel very easily. Good breakfast. Bathroom could do with a handrail to aid getting out of the bath, as well as getting in. Also somewhere to hang bath towel when in shower. Full marks for having a mirror with an electrical socket attached, making use of a hair drier easy.

Comfortable 1 night stay at the Clayton Hotel in Bristol. The staff were friendly and helpful at check in, and stored our luggage for a few hours securely after check out. The room was very clean and included all the essential amenities (towels, hair dryer, tea/coffee/water, shampoo, body wash and even an iron with ironing board). Plenty of dining options and some supermarkets within a short walking distance. There is no on site parking but there are paid carparks nearby. We'd happily stay again :)

Lovely hotel but some little things were never fixed despite requests like flashing phone light stuck on 3 nights, plugs did not work , half tv channels not tuned in … minor issues but they distracted and annoyed . Taxis wouldn’t come down road so had to walk to top of street . Staff really helpful otherwise and it’s great location
