Very disappointing stay!!
My room was located on the lower floor (zero) and there was no heating or tv working in the room - I contacted reception who said I could have moved rooms if I wanted to but they didn’t have any ! (Pointless offer) they offered to bring a heater but the tv would not be looked at until the following day. When I asked about my discount I was told I needed to go to reception and register my card before they would put my order through to the kitchen, so I did this. I went to reception the following night to settle my bill so I could leave early the next morning and asked about my Jet2 discount that we are eligible for at all Hilton properties (due to the amount of business we place with Hilton hotels) I was told I would need to see the receptionist on shift the next morning as she did not know how to process it. In the morning there was a note pushed under the door which said my credit card had been declined and I needed to contact reception, when I enquired the payment had gone through and when I asked to settle my food & parking costs I again mentioned my discount and was told ‘you only get it when booked by jet2 directly! I disagreed and said I always pay separately for food, parking and drinks which is also settled on a jet2 company credit card and still get the discount, but she refused to do anything further so I paid and took my receipt and left! My receipt for my accommodation was for £232.40 but £278.00 has been taken from my company card! Not impressed at all!!
