Hunter's Haven- Broken Bow/Hochatown- 2bd

Throughout the years, hunters have sought safe places where they could shelter from the weather, gather around a warm fire or a hot meal, and tell stories of the one that got away. Hunter’s Haven is that safe place for today’s traveler into Kiamichi Country!

Whether you are on the hunt for sun and fun on our beautiful Broken Bow Lake, or just searching for a few peaceful days reconnecting with family – Hunter’s Haven has what you need. Located across the highway from the entrance to the challenging 18 hole Cedar Creek Golf Course and just a short drive from dipping your feet in the lake, this cabin puts you close to all the dining and excitement that Hochatown has to offer.

Hunter’s Haven sits on a large wooded lot with only a few cabins nearby. Start your mornings with coffee in rocking chairs on the front porch and end your nights soaking in the hot tub on the back deck. But in-between – adventure awaits! Boating on the lake, pulling trout from the river, zip lining, kayaking – so much to do and see.

Simplicity and comfort are the story inside Hunter’s Haven – a large living room is the perfect place to enjoy time with the family, sharing stories in front of the stone fireplace. Or maybe you prefer popcorn and movies on the flat screen TV? Hungry, the ready to cook kitchen and charcoal grill makes putting meals together a snap. If you prefer the challenging of roasting hot dogs and s’mores over an open fire, – well we have that also. As the excitement of the day slows down, you will be able to wind down in comfortable queen beds while sharing your adventures online with free Wi-Fi.

Whether this is your first time in Kiamichi Country or you feel like a local - Hunter’s Haven is ready to welcome you back again and again

Nice and quiet
The house was nice and clean. The neighbors weren’t loud. It felt secluded and close to nature. Some of the issues we experienced were: The hot tub had a lot of chlorine in it and started to burn our eyes and eventually skin. The bathroom tub drained very slowly leading you to take a shower in standing water. The toilet didn’t flush well. The charcoal grill that is pictured is not the grill on the property. There is also reference to a gas grill that isn’t there. But all in all it was a nice stay and we enjoyed it and would recommend it.

Upon entering, the cabin had a peaceful feel about it. Location is awesome. Far away enough to feel secluded, but close enough to run into town for a quick errand.

Lovely Cabin
Enjoyed our stay which was a birthday celebration for my granddaughter who is turning 11. She invited a friend and I invited my sister. We enjoyed the hot tub and roasted marshmallows over the fire. Played cards and enjoyed some chill time. Had a little trouble with the toilet not flushing good and could never find the right switches to turn on/off the lights, but it was a comfortable cabin and we enjoyed our stay. There was a little salt and pepper in kitchen but that was it! Nothing else. Spices are cheap and a few more would have been great. Maybe some oil. Thanks for a great stay.

Very cute missing some amenities
Update listing. No propane grill available. No big deal, but we had to buy charcoal for the charcoal grill available which we would have brought with us but rules said don't use charcoal grill, so not sure what to do. Couldn't get tv to work in a bedroom. Light in dining room had some wonky wiring and we could not turn it off unless switch was halfway between on and off. Overall, pretty good stay. Just wished there was a propane grill.

Beautiful cabin...exactly as described..perfect place to relax and getaway from our demanding careers. Enjoyed Beavers Bend State Park and the scenic drive...would love to visit again. By the way, it rained everyday but we would do it all over again...cozy cabin to come back to after a day out. Hot tub was perfect as well.

Extended weekend.
I loved this cabin. The location was great. It has everything we needed. The only complain I have is regarding wifi. I couldn't connect with it. And we had zero signal so we were unable to make phone calls or anything. But it made for a quiet weekend. I will definitely stay again.

Perfect for some R&R
This cabin was very clean, and fully stocked. The location is tucked back is the woods, quiet and yet close to the main street activities. We went to rest and recharge. After a day of exploring the trails the hot tub was a great way to unwind. This was our 1st trip but won't be our last. We look forward to visiting again!

Nice visit
House was great & one of the cleanest places I’ve ever stayed. Great amenities and well stocked. Visitors book very helpful. The ONLY drawback was I thought it would be more remote and there was some kind of live band playing Friday night really loud. Also, neighbors very close. Thought it would be more secluded

Cabin was nice and cozy, if you have a boat in tow look else where.
The cabin was nice and cozy in side. The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. The kitchen appeared to have everything that you would need to prep a meal. The only downside is the condition of the drive. There are 2 entries one very tight to back a boat and the main drive has a large hump that is much higher than the road. There is a high chance you will drag the back of the boat or prop guard in my case if you attempt to back in. We ended up pulling in and then took about 20 mins and to turn the rig around. This would have been much easier if some of the brush and smaller trees were cleared to widen the drives. A near by business allowed us park our boat on their lot the second day. I have a GMC 1500 SLT and it cleared the hump by about 3 inches on the main drive. The narrow has a lot of tree roots exposed any truck or SUV will not have a problem.

expected better
We were disappointed with the dirtiness of the porches, cobwebs in the hallway, dishwasher stunk, toilet lid screws were turned wrong so that you could not utilize the toilet until my husband fixed it. There was no exhaust fan in the bathroom. Could not connect 1 bedroom TV to network at all, so it was useless. We lost service to the TV in living room and owner did have that fixed while we were away. I loved ceiling fans in main room and bedrooms, however, we had no way to change the speed for comfort. The night stand with a lamp was across the room from the bed. No outlet near the bed. I had to run the cord for my CPAP across the doorway to an outlet. The beds, while pretty and comfortable, were very high from the floor and difficult for an old man and a short fat lady to get into. We never found a switch to turn on the side light outside. It was a quiet area and very near where the rest of our family was spending the weekend. We preferred to spend most of our time and meals with them in the cabin they rented.
