This property was perfect for our stay near Mammoth Cave. It is 2nd floor above the garage. Staircase railing is a little rickety, so not ideal if you require a lot of support on stairs, but fine. It is a small town with 1 grocery store and a few simple restaurants. We tried the Mexican place across the river and it was good and friendly (but no Margaritas). The town does not have a liquor store, so bring what you need. There was a full kitchen, stocked with microwave, toaster, toaster oven, coffee maker, keurig, and laundry in a pantry. There is a sofa with TV in a sitting room off the kitchen/dining. The bedroom was nice with a window and queen bed. The bathroom is in the bedroom and is a little tight, with a small shower, but everything was nice and in working order (the bathroom doorway is a curtain). Also, the door and wall in the bedroom is up against a room in the other part of the house, so you can hear some noise. We rolled up a towel and put it at the bottom of the door and closed the bedroom door at night and it helped. The hot tub in the yard was clean, nice, new, and wonderful! No smoky smell as in past reviews, but owner smokes cigars in the backyard with his 2 big dogs (check before you walk yours). The neighborhood has some houses well cared for and others seeming deserted, but we walked around at night and it was just quiet and nice. There is a river walkway just up the street perfect for dogwalking. The host was very accommodating with quick communication!
