Nice little house
The house was very quaint and clean. The road to get to it is a little scary but the wrap around porch was fabulous.
We are a traveling fishing team, we absolutely loved our stay! We arrived Friday afternoon on a quiet road leading to property, pulling the boat and was planning on backing into the property, a local pulled up and we waved them by, they eased up and offered assistance stopping traffic both directions, we had plenty of parking for boat and 2 trucks! House is beautiful and well decorated, air conditioning was cold, great beds, bathrooms were well stocked and clean! Kitchen had all you would need to enjoy a nice meal… we ate at local dinning that are world renowned!!! Absolutely love B&J steak and seafood, but skippers fish camp just down the road is outstanding!! Just over the river is mud cat Charlie’s!! Definitely will stay here again

Nope
We left after one night of our two night stay. Broken ac, no towels, sketchy area. It was so hot in the house I had to take our two youngest children to a hotel while my partner stayed behind with our nephew to see if it would get better. This is a nope.

Okay stay
This was an okay property. It was clean and ready for us when we arrived. It was somewhat musty smelling probably due to older carpet in the living room and dining room. Older shower and other older finishes, while cleaned, showed their age. Refreshing some of the finished would make it feel nicer. But it was fine for our needs — a house with separate air during Covid. And the owner communicated well. The beds and linens were new and clean.

Convenient location for stay in Darien
Nice older home located across the street from Mclendon creek. Comfortable furnishings and bedding. Plenty of outdoor lighting. It had all the things we needed to enjoy our stay.

A/C blew cold
And that was a plus. I guess there was a disconnect between VRBO and the owner. The house wasn’t properly prepared. The owner contacted me and was apologetic. I appreciate that.
Anyway, it was an overall decent experience. The price was a bit much for what you got especially since the cable and internet were inop. Just wasn’t as advertised. This place is all about what you make of it and I’m a good timer if there ever was one.

Great stay at this older house in Darien. Located near “downtown” Darien. House has been remodeled, very nice. Clean and laid out well. Neighborhood is changing over from old to new homes.

Great quiet location
Rooms were great, attendant was professional and courteous, the house clean and has a great porch. It is a two bedroom with an extra side room with a pullout bed in closet. There is no internet or Wi-Fi passw3 available. Nice visit. Will consider again. Needs Wi-Fi.

Clean, comfortable and was supplied with everything we needed
It was the boys weekend to fish, fish and fish with Captain Tim's charted fishing boat. We spent are days fishing the intercoastal water ways of Saint Simon and are nights in a beautiful, comfortable and convenient home that came with all the things we forgot in Atlanta. The property owner was so accommodating, we're already planning are next trip....

Good stay for our short one night stay while traveling with two small kids. Really 2 bedrooms.
House is in good condition and has televisions throughout all rooms. No WiFi. Nice large porch. However the surrounding area is not what I expected. Front faces a small 2 lane road with people speeding up and down it. The one side neighbors a grave yard. Other side a run down trailer with scattered beer cans (although it was quiet for our night). Rear backs up to some wooded area. Across the street is a gated community with 3 story homes that sit on the water way. Had dinner at a nice seafood place within 5 min drive away.
Overall the house was in good condition and had all we needed. The surrounding area made me a little nervous considering I had my family with me in a somewhat sketchy unknown area. The 3 star rating is directly related to the way I felt while in the house. Otherwise the place was great.

The owner has been incredible.
The owner has been really incredible. I appreciate his flexibility. The house offers two very comfortable bedrooms, the third is really an intermediate room that can be used as a bedroom but there are also sleep sofas in the main area. For the price, it is a lot of house. It was very conveniently located to where I needed to be. B and Js is very near by and is a treat for dinner if you have the chance, best shrimp I've ever had... Coffee maker was available and plenty of filters stocked!

Saint Simons Trip
I stayed in this cottage as it is sort of close to Saint Simons Island. Upon arriving and making sure we were good to go, I noticed there are only a few towels and washcloths. Also had 0 trash bags and almost no toilet paper. Was told by the property manager that people take advantage so they don't keep it stocked with hardly anything. That is not a good way to keep people coming back to your rental. Friendly lady and all but things like that should be there upon guests arrival. The back outside window pain is broken. Didn't feel very safe in this rental at all. One of the bathroom sinks hardy drains, the bathtub was nasty... this place needs some serious TLC because it has a lot of potential.
I had to call the owner for the address, call the property manager about where to find a key, the property manager again to find out if it is standard for us to provide our own toilet paper and trash bags, the owner about the window, property manager about the window. Holy crap. Then the owner called and asked when we were leaving and if it was a holiday weekend, and it was a few days before 4th of July. This is the most I've ever had to communicate with owners and property managers for a rental, let alone a one night rental. Usually there is a welcome book, list of nearby businesses, sign in book, or something along those lines. Not sure how this place has such good reviews. I've rented through this website many times so I've come to understand what to expect when using it.
Also it is about 45 minutes from the small downtown area of Saint Simons Island so keep that in mind. I wish I had better things to say but I just was not impressed at all.

Great House; Interesting Neighbors
We stayed at the Cottage for the annual Blessing of the Fleets. Although it is almost a mile away from the festival, we were able to find parking around the festival grounds. Our group of six loved hanging out on the wrap-around porch and there was ample space in the cottage. The kitchen was on the smaller side but all of the essentials were there. The water pressure was great too! There's only two real bedrooms. The "third" bedroom is more of a study with a fold down single bed that has a large gap in the middle due to the fold. That said, the two couches were comfortable.
The neighbors were interesting. On one side, there's a cemetery; on the other side, there's a rundown-looking mobile home. Across the street is a high end gated community but you can see water through the gaps in the houses.
