The property is quite old needs a renovation and facilities like a spa is an extra. This hotel is definitely not a five-star hotel beside of the location. I have nothing to recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay. We arrived exhausted from an overnight flight. The front desk staff went above and beyond to arrange an early check-in for us. The room was spacious and beautiful. We will be returning!

I would recommend this hotel for the price but there are some flaws. It is very dated and does not look fresh. The rooms are better than the lobby. My check in was not the smoothest but not why I would give this hotel bad marks. My disappointment lies completely with the bad service, information and horrible attitude I got from the concierge. I don't know his name but he was completely incompetent, did not know the city at all and even gave me wrong information. He did not even kn ow the museums would be closed on a national holiday. That combined with his poor attitude every time I went to him for directions around town. Breakfast was very nice but if you don't go early you will have to wait for a table. The lounge was small, not alot of atmosphere. The food was good but expensive. Location is in the shopping area. About a 30 minute walk to the main historical area. I am sure the hotel had more glamour in its day but now seems warn and commercial.

I arrived at the hotel 11 AM. At the booking, I requested the early check-in and the hotel confirmed it had made the note. In fact, I had to wait over 5 hours even after hotel's regular check-in time, 3 PM. The time I checked in was 4:30 PM. Then, Sunday night, there was the event and laud bass noise bothered me until 1:30 PM. Then, on Thusday, no hot water. Throughout my stay, I had the issue of WiFi poor signal that made me impossible to plan a video conference from my room with my US colleague.

The staff were generally helpful. The room was pretty warm even with the air conditioning turned on, they kept the hallway temperatures very high. Overall, it seemed like the shell of a nice hotel but one that was not staffed in the way that you would expect. There was zero energy in the hotel even with a wedding on Saturday night. It felt like a hotel that was purchased without a real plan to make it a special hotel.

"I had a terrible day on October 4th because hot water was unavailable in my bathroom starting from 6:20 a.m. and lasting throughout the day. Not only was there no hot water, but the water itself was discolored with a yellow tint, indicating the presence of rust and dust, which made it impossible for me to take either my morning shower or night."

One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Actually, the best in Europe so far! The service is nothing short of amazing! Everyone, as in each member of the staff gives exceptional attention, care and goes beyond what is expected. From the valet to the front desk, housekeeping, and the waiters. Loved their breakfast too. They have vast selection to choose from and they tasted wonderful. Their fitness studio is a tad small but they have top of the range equipment (Technogym). I can not fault this hotel for anything. Special shout out to Julie, Amelie, especially Ilias of front desk. The perfect hosts of this 5-star hotel. Sorry if I forgot the names of the others as there's so many of them! Such wonderful people.

Overall, the hotel is a very nice hotel that kept its old charm. Breakfast and dinner was amazingly delicious. Our room was big, clean (would recommend changing the carpet thought). Overall, would go back to it if we go back to Brussels.
