Getting Around:
You need a car - no way around it. It’s located on Route 232, a logging road and a significant cut-through for the area. We have a driveway that can fit 6 large cars parking and a great local plow team who will get you out in a storm. There is some road traffic noise inside the house. However, once inside the Dome and on our land behind it, you feel a million miles away. Being on a big road means we’re plowed out early, easy to find, and no mountain roads or 4x4 or special studded tires necessary. And added bonus of getting to see the real Maine industry in action - kids love sitting in the picture window and watching the logging trucks. Stop to go grocery shopping and bring water before you arrive at the Dome. Bethel has a small grocery store and the next big one is in Oxford, Maine. We have two full fridges and a mini fridge should you wish to bring many beverages.
Things Guests Need to Know:
An external security camera at the dome pointing at the driveway. They will be on. Only accessed (a) check on snowfall and plowing; (b) if noise/other complaints; (c) safety or concern for the property; (d) suspected extra guests/pet.
