It was a beautiful old hotel that has been well maintained. It is in the heart of the city. Only 1-2 blocks away from a major mall and lots of restaurants. You can even walk to the river where there are lovely trails along the river side.

i have been there before this time i wanted to have an amazing experience with my boy the room i got for the amount of money i paid was not to worth it to me. cant say i was happy, TV remote was not working call front desk to get a new one almost 45 minutes later after i call front desk again beds are so uncomfortable and squeaky. not to include breakfast as complementary crazy. all i wanted was to show my son the hotel and have an amazing experience single mother and to take time to do this and be so disappointed with the result makes me sad i hope this gets to you and understand d my feedback thank you

Pictures do not do this place justice! Absolutely gorgeous! Comfortable bed, clean and an amazing bar where we enjoyed ourselves a little too much. Walkable to everywhere we wanted to go.

The best part of the Calgary Stampede experience for us was the Fairmont Palliser. Unbelievable service! It was so nice to come in from the crowds and have the staff to foresee all your needs. I only mentioned to one person in casual conversation that it was our anniversary, and when we came home to our room that evening, there was a card and desert on our bed. Everyone from check-in to valet to housekeeping was top notch service.

I liked the staff a lot, as they were very helpful and nice, but I still think the Fairmont chain is overpriced for what they offer. The old and bad smell from the rooms and the exaggerated price of the parking makes you pick a different hotel!
