Big House!
This home is very large and is probably the best stocked we've ever rented. The downstairs shower is huge, the kitchen is large and everything is comfy. We were in town to visit family but the house is close to a lot of other sights. There were a couple of hiccups that were beyond the owners control and the owner was informative and compassionate and kept us in the loop about everything. Loved our stay and would stay here again!

Perfect fit for us!
The property was very clean, very well stocked and perfect size for our family to use as a home base during Michigan Tech move in weekend. The price was great for a 3 night stay and there was much more in the surrounding area to do that we even were aware of. Much better alternative than a hotel.

Walkable to Calumet
We really liked staying here! After driving for four days from the east coast we landed at this house in Calumet on a Sunday evening to spend our first week in the Upper Peninsula. We immediately took advantage of the disc golf course nearby, which is less than a 10 minute walk away! Over the next few days we enjoyed taking breaks from our remote workdays to drive to the lake for swimming, and to walk around town for ice cream, thimble berry margaritas, pasties, and groceries at Pat’s. In terms of the property itself, it has the very basics supplied, and the queen mattresses are super comfy. There aren’t a lot of outlets, so having an extra extension cord with you might be helpful. The street isn’t the best looking, but everyone we met was friendly and we felt safe and happy here for five days.

We loved our stay here.
The house was very clean and comfortable, felt like home. The beds were all very comfortable. And we loved the location...short walking distance to downtown Calumet Theater, local art stores, coffee shops, heritage sites... We were thankful for the air conditioning unit as it was a very hot couple of weeks in July. Everything we needed in a home was supplied (including snacks and coffee!) Our thanks to Carl for being a very responsive and welcoming host.

Great spacious stay in the heart of Calumet!
We loved this house and how spacious and clean it was. It was perfect for four adults as we explored the Keweenaw Peninsula. The walk through bedroom worked out ok for us even though it’s a unique set up. The living room was cozy for hanging out and movie watching. We would definitely stay again!

Pictures are not worth 1k words here
The neighborhood was almost third world. No local resturants worth eating at. We both ate at carmelitas and got food poisoning. Would not recommend this unless you have to staybecause of budget and location. House was musty and dated. Also, the demand shoes be taken off inside the house. If im paying to stay here, im not taking my shoes off.

We loved this house. So clean and inviting. Everything is well thought out and the furnishings and decor are great. Very comfortable beds with great bedding. Lots of space and comfort in this awesome home. Owner was great about checking to make sure we had everything we needed. I will stay here again when I come back up.

This was a great base for our keweenaw vacation. Nicely decorated and well appointed with great attention to detail being given to things like dining recommendations and little bonuses in the kitchen like snacks and water bottles, and a host who is proactive about communication but never in an annoying or overbearing way, we felt cared for the entire time. Location close to downtown calumet was very convenient and walkable. We enjoyed the local bar scene for two nights and appreciated the host’s recommendations. This helped make an already great trip even better. I’m sure I’ll be booking this property again the next time I’m in the area if it best meets our needs.

Hidden gem
Great value. Super clean. Very well stocked kitchen and bathrooms. I was a bit hesitant due to the worn look of the neighborhood, but this house is very nice. It is an older home - creaky floorboards and immaculately clean. The kitchen was well stocked with all sorts of amenities (toast over, coffee maker, coffee, filters, electric kettle, tea, bottled water, nice knives, and plenty of pots, pans, utensils, silverware, plates, bowls, etc). The bathrooms had plenty of soap, towels, kleenex, etc. The beds and furniture are very comfortable. The third bedroom is more of a large landing at the top of the stairs, but we were fine with the privacy screens. The upstairs bathroom is the original - which means a bit tight but functional. The downstairs bathroom has plenty of space.

House convenient to Copper Harbor
This house was so quiet and comfortable. everything is clearly labeled, the kitchen was perfect, and we appreciated the snack basket! TV offered many channels, great reception. nice brochures left for review and we left a few more too. The neighborhood is quiet, but not a lot of public green space that we could see. But since we were mainly headed to Copper Harbor as well as the Quincy mine, not an issue.

This home worked out well for us. We visited friends in Houghton and toured Copper Country up to the peak. This is a good location for all the historical sites in and around Calumet. Less than 40 miles to Copper Harbor. Very clean home.

Cozy in a quiet area
The house was everything I expected it would be, except for the shower on the 1st floor. A lot of squeaking coming from the floor under the shower base. I know its an old house, but renovations look fairly new, which means the floor conditions may have been missed. I would still highly recommend.

Nice and clean with lots of amenities just like home. Grocery store and gas station very close. In the middle of all that is the Keweenaw Peninsula. Only draw back for me is two doors don't have deadbolts on them. I living in a area where deadbolts make me feels safe. There was no problem. I slept peacefully.
