Welcome to our year-round waterfront retreat on 5 acres with breathtaking views on Hudson Creek. Perfect for family reunions, summer vacations, and business retreats. Enjoy crabbing and fishing from our private dock with 3.5 ft MLW at end of the pier. Kayak, canoes and paddleboat available for your boating recreation. This historic home built in 1838 with later added modern addition has 2 living areas, 2 dining areas, a fully equipped kitchen, 5 bedrooms that sleep 12, 3 full baths, and an additional sofa bed. So many amenities to mention like A/C, washer & dryer, in-ground pool, boat ramp, interior wood-burning fireplace, side deck, gas grill, tree swings and a fire pit to gather around in the evenings and just relax. There's an overflow efficiency available on the property with a dual king-size bed, a twin bed, jetted tub in the bathroom and an efficiency kitchen ...private and very comfortable. One very well behaved and house broken dog is allowed per reservation. Sit back and enjoy our slower-paced life here on the Eastern Shore. Read that book, watch the geese gather on the lawn, take a nap in the hammock, steam some crabs or grill your fish. Live your best life while creating memories here in one of Maryland's finest locations.

Family vacation
We loved the location, being on the creek was great to go canoeing, kayaking and crabbing. The pool was enjoyed my everyone, very clean. It was nice having 2 living spaces and 2 tables so we could spread out. We were greeted by the host with fresh vegetables. She was quick to respond to our needs. Wonderful host!!

The property had plenty’s of things to do either collectively or small groups. Also had lots of bird watching opportunities with Osprey,Heron and Eagles in the area. The owner was very pleasant and accommodating.

Beautiful Location for Family Gathering
Every year we select a different location for our extended family vacation. We range in age from 18-77. We found this years choice to be a good one. The property is beautiful, spacious and well maintained. The new owner is a gem and is very helpful. In addition to the house, we used the pool, the yard, and the dock. All were well maintained. The house is comprised of a charming older section with a serene water view; the newer section is spacious, modern and provides additional sleeping, bathrooms and social space. We used a public dock to launch our large pontoon boat. It was a 10-15 minutes by car and about 30 minutes by boat back to the private dock. One heads up, is the second bedroom in the old section has tight ceiling space. No problem for the initial builders since average height in the 1800s was a lot lower than today. We had 4 men over 6’ who did a lot of ducking when they toured the room. The 4 star rating for accuracy of property description is due to the description of the boat launch. Only small boats can be launched from the current launch area. This was not clear to us when we rented. Use of the municipal launch was not a big problem.

Perfection!
I can’t imagine a more perfect vacation spot for extended families. We (my 3 adult children with spouses, 6 grandchildren, small dog and I) have been booking oceanfront vacations for years and found this as something different. So glad we did! House is beautiful and large with plenty of spaces to be together as well as spread out. The kids loved crabbing and fishing as well as exploring the cove in the canoes and kayaks, or just swimming in the spotless pool, playing lawn games or playing video games. Too many amenities to list. Francesca, the owner is right across the parking lot for any issues (there weren’t any!) or questions, but otherwise staying to herself for the most part. What a great week and gracious owner!
