The Space:
Maungakawa Hill by Tiny Away is nestled in the serene town of Cambridge, only a 20-minute drive from Hamilton, where visitors can explore cultural attractions, shops, and dining options. This retreat is set on a spacious, fully fenced property under a magnificent gum tree, offering peaceful views of the Maungakawa Valley for a tranquil experience. Nearby, you can explore attractions Lake Karapiro, perfect for indulging in various water sports.
A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home with easy water access, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas-heated for hot showers).

Guest Access:
Guests can access the tiny house, which is fully fenced with post and rail, and also explore its surroundings.

Maungakawa Hill by Tiny Away is a charming tiny house situated 20 minutes from Hamilton. It's conveniently just an hour's drive from Tauranga, known for its beautiful beaches, outdoor activities, and rich cultural heritage.
On top of that, it's just a two-hour drive from Auckland, a dynamic city renowned for its scenic harbors, vibrant cultural scene, varied culinary delights, and iconic landmarks like the Sky Tower.

By car:
- 5 mins from centre of Cambridge
- 20 mins from Hamilton
- 2 hr drive from Auckland
- 1 hr drive from Tauranga
By public transportation: We have "Cambridge Taxis" available for transport. However, if you're coming from far away cities like Auckland. We recommend guests travel by private vehicle.
Other Things to Note:
- Gas BBQ is available
- Bottled water is available upon request
- Mobile phone reception has a good signal
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- No smoking allowed inside, except in designated areas
- Restaurant recommendations are available upon request
- Smoothies, granola, and fruits are offered for breakfast at an additional charge.
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- We have a miniature horse and a senior black Labrador on our property, both of whom enjoy being petted.
Important note:
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the [compost/cassette] toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
