Beautiful birds like orioles, Motmot birds, parrots, and many more are easily seen *we even saw howler monkeys). Bring cash to pay, as getting money in Liberia is not always easy *dollars are commonly accepted, and sometime credit cards are OK). Secret waterfall hike: only 45 minutes from Explore Paradise, this secluded waterfall is an exciting back road drive and short hike away. On the way you will see colorful birds and Dry Forest foliage. A short scramble brings you to your own private waterfall and plunge pool! Glide gently into the water, or cliff dive like your guide. There are rocks to sit on/rest on, or take the short swim and sit under the falls!
Snorkel and Fishing Trip: A whole day excursion which includes a beautiful ride through small villages, stopping at a small fishing port about an hour away. From there you will take a wonderful boat ride, and if you like to fish get a line wet too! Then you will snorkel with your guide and ā¦ turtles, eagle rays, jack fish, puffers, and many many more. Bring your lunch and dine on your own tropical beach! Try not to get lonely, as there are no other people.
Rainforest: A whole day tour, ride over the continental divide and into the rain forest! Many rare and colorful birds, including toucans! You might also see a sloth (or two or three!), snakes, and many frogs (in the rainy season). Stop at a private hot spring for a relaxing soak before driving home.
Volcano and beach tour: About an hour away, the volcano is in the transitional forest (between the dry and rain forests). There are several volcanic features along a mild to moderate hike. Your host will point out many of the trees, and there are chances to see monkeys (howler monkeys) and many different birds. The beach is a wildlife refuge of white volcanic sand and there are some rocks that hold good amounts of fish. You can also enjoy wildlife such monkeys, coatis, mangrove birds and forest birds.
