Really stiff, uncomfortable beds which I get a few people like (just not me), but great pillows. Some good, polite people, and some less so. Very clean with a solid beach and facilities. Dinner options were good, but breakfast was lacking in quality and options. Quality of drinks depended on who served you. Location was great as it's not too far from the airport and very close to isla mujeres. The property (in mid Sep) was excellent if you want peace, quiet, and repose. I had an incredible massage at the spa. Private driver round trip to airport cost $200 using hotel service, or you can hire a taxi for $70 round trip if you dont plan on using the driver to get to other paces in cancun.

Overall the property is average. However, if I’m asked to come again then I would choose not to stay here. The service is bad, food at the restaurants is terrible. Special requests are not considered. Not for large group of 10 plus.

Property was clean . Nothing breath taking to the visuals at the property. No A/C in any shows or restaurants, hard to eat when you are hot . Food is horrible with extra small portions. They dress it up but quality is just not good. Staff enforces rules , who wants rules on vacation. Do not waste time or money on this resort . They shut our room A/C off last night in our room . Offered an upgrade for next visit , that was a waste of paper.

We stayed at the sister property, Finest, several years ago. Excellence was just a step up from our memories of Finest. The food was a little better, the amenities were a little better. The services were great- the extra touches of turn down and room cleaning were just delightful. Highly recommend and would go again.

Look no further for a luxury stay in paradise. The restaurants are all great. The only one we didn’t try was the Sports Bar because what’’s the point, I can go to a place like that anywhere back home. The beaches are intimate and pristine. The grounds and amenities are expansive. You could stay here for a week an easily never manage to hit everything. Speaking of expansive, my only piece of feedback is lack of location signage. We spent more time wandering trying to find our room and restaurants than anything. Room buildings are numbered (Building 3, building 4, etc.). All of these buildings are identical but lack signage to let you know A. Where you are or B. How to get there. There’s an app with a map, but it does not help. The other thing is that EVERYTHING is done through the app. Every menu for every restaurant is in the app. I dont know about you- but on a vacation I really want to disconnect and not rely on my mobile device as much. So to have to rely on your phone for basically every menu and destination in the resort is a bit much. But again, we would go back here 20 times over.

The hotel remains exceptionally clean, and the service continues to be outstanding. The staff are excellent—attentive and professional, making every stay pleasant. I have stayed at this property several times over the years, with my most recent visit being after an eight-year gap. Unfortunately, I noticed a decline in the quality of the liquor offered. They used to serve premium tequilas and scotches, but now it's difficult to find high-quality options at any of the bars. This is the only downside to an otherwise wonderful experience.

The crew from the front desk to all the helpers in the restaurants plus the pool bar always make sure we had something to drink or eat. The place was clean. The room was beautiful and enjoy sitting outside and the server came by if we wanted something. The only thing I wish the pool bar stay open longer especially Friday and Saturday. But otherwise very happy to had stay at excellent playa mujeres. I will recommend my family to visit and stay at that resort . Some of my family that came all of them love it. Will come again.
