Pasamos unos días maravillosos, la instalación muy buena, limpia, la atención al cliente muy profesional y te sientes bienvenido al hotel, la comida muy variada, el restaurante italiano es de primera, , el Bufet muy bueno, la bebida súper variada, las instalaciones afuera , a pesar que estaban en remodelación la piscina con su bar dando tremendo servicio, la playa muy limpia, una arena blanca que parecía talco, en resumen muy agradable y bueno para pasar unos días inolvidable, mi esposo y yo hemos estado en diferentes hoteles de Playa del Carmen y siempre nos hemos sentido muy bien y ahora en Cancún espectacular

The property or expedia did not let us know about the ongoing constuction. We were given a double room when we had paid for king. Then they moved us to a king room with construction on the front. The mexican restaurant was closed most times. We went in the morning asking for it. They would say its open at night. When we went at night it was closed 2 days. Koi and Andiamo were fabulous. Buffet has very limited options. In all, a very dissapointing experience. Would not visit grand hotel properties every again.

We wished our stay was better but unfortunately most of the amenities were closed due to the construction, staff was also not the best, we got to the hotel after traveling for about 6 hours just to be bombarded and trying to be sold stuff for about a hour by our concierge. VERY annoying . We were not allowed to dine in the buffet twice due to my husband wearing a short sleeve , when there is people wearing hardly a cover up .

The property was clean, but too much construction going on, only one small pool available for the entire hotel, food options are not thr greatest. Rooms are the worst Ive stayed in and I travel a lot. Very out dated rooms, compare to like a Motel 6 in the States, no lie. Beach area very quiet. Traveled in October, water was a bit rough. Staff was friendly. Free buffet is not open all day so find out the times or you will starve for a few hours, unless you go eat outside of the hotel. I would not recommend this hotel to my family or friends.

Our ocean view room for vacation... sights and sounds of heavy equipment and jack hammers working on the main pool. I would have passed if I known this when I booked. The hotel shut off the live camera, the hotel is sketchy, should be honest during construction times. We had to make the best of it…stayed at the beach and enjoyed the white sands and clear water.

The property was nice and has great drinks but the food at the buffet could use a little help and the main pool was closed for remodeling so everyone had to share the smaller pool

The resort was under remodel. I reserved a swim up room for atmosphere and could see the pool and beach when I purchase this room. When I got there big construction site right outside my patio doors. The noise was from 8:00 to 7:00 pm everyday. My relaxing vacation was poor. I spent extra money for this room. Only one pool available and it was a lot of walking with no elevators to use. Also no water bottles were given. You were to get water at water station not was not cold. They gave you a water bottle to use but the plastic smell was terrible. None of this was on their website. I would not recommend thus resort!!

Grand Park Royal self inflicted this less than stellar review from us (My wife, two teenage boys and Myself). When we booked this vacation I was torn between 3 properties. This one ultimately won out because of the beach. The beach was indeed awesome. The staff was great, they went above and beyond accommodating the boys on their food allergies. Food was fresh and we found a delicious option at every meal. HOWEVER!!! There was no mention of renovations to the hotel when we booked. The main pool was being ripped out. We stayed in a room overlooking the construction site. All you heard from the room all day was jack hammers, tractors, and compactors that sounded like helicopters. I complained on their social media page and they immediately contacted me to "upgrade" my room to the tower overlooking the ocean. So no more construction site under us. Now the construction site was above us, the top 3 stories were closed for renovations. So all day you heard power tools and hammering if you went into the room. This room did include a "butler" who would arrange the cabanas and reservations at the restaurants. From what I can tell this is almost essential if you want good food reservations or a cabana. The fresh juice bar was closed, and yes I was looking forward to a fresh fruit smoothie every day. The coffee shop had about 3 options they could actually make of the laundry list of items on the wall (all 7 days we were there). I could go on but I'm out of characters.

This property is under construction and the main pool and area is closed so I would not advise going at this time. I would return in the future as it is a lovely resort. Service and entertainment were excellent and great beach.

This property falsely advertised that the pool is not open. Their employees were very aggressive to the point of nearly stocking. The food at the buffet was cold. Some amenities at the spa were only available for men

This property is absolutely beautiful! I enjoyed my entire stay, the only complaint would be loud construction which happens so it’s not their fault and I can tell they’re redoing a lot of this place. Miguel was our ‘butler’ and he was extremely helpful always keeping in touch with me through out the day. He also arranged a beautiful surprise with the maid service on our bed! Rose petals on in the shape of a rose in our room with a personalized card for celebrating our wedding anniversary. The other thing that will maybe annoy a new visitor is the sit down about the club that is appx 2 hours. One of the men did give us an huge attitude and got mad at us for not being ready to commit to that. Regardless we didn’t let that ruin our trip. I would definitely go back in the future because of the staff, food, location the beach and what they plan to do to the resort looks amazing!! Hope this review helps others.
