I liked that we had breakfast everyday and staff was great. However, other staff we very rude, not as friendly as the kitchen. The cleaning crew did not clean the bathroom daily and kept forgetting to place extra toilet paper and towels. We had to ask them everyday. There was limited activities offered to keep us entertained. Kinda boring.

The rooms were not as clean as what I’m used to. There was a bunch of hair on my nightstand, the surfaces were not clean. Wicked uncomfortable bed and pillows were terrible, so lumpy. Staff were very nice. However, the machines they use to charge your card for meals would not work most of the time, so they had to keep swiping my card until it would finally go through. It was not a bank issue. That was very unpleasant as staff would sort of make a big deal out of it and everybody else would be looking at the whole things as if I was doing something wrong.

My wife and I Memorial Day trip to Mexico. We booked a trip for 5 nights from Msy to Isla Meujues Mexico from 5/23-28,2024. We stayed at Izla Beach Front Hotel. After landing into Mexico airport, we were bombarded by vendors trying to sell us a taxi ride to our destination. All the taxi rides were costly, so we just picked Greenline Transportation which was more than a hundred dollars not peso. We arrived at the ferry. We purchased a package deal for multiple trips back and forth on the ferry to take us to Isla Meujures and back to Cancun. The ferry ride was nice. Once getting to Isla Muejuers , we checked for Golf Cart rentals since we didn’t pre book one which I recommend you do ahead of time. So, we got a taxi to take us to our hotel which cost around $9 dollars. We arrived at our hotel, and it was nice. They didn’t have any ocean view remaining, so we got a regular room. Our room number was 102. We unpacked, put on our bathing suits and went to the pool. After getting dinner and a few drinks we went to bed. We woke up the next morning and my wife indicated she had a few bumps on her skin. I didn’t notice any on me at the time, so we thought they were probably due from mosquito bites. After the second night, we woke, and my wife had more bites on her, and I had a few on me also. We went and bought some off. By the third night, my wife decided to pull back all the sheets and check the bed. Sure, enough we notice some bugs on our sheets. We called the front desk to ask to s

We stayed here for a week in the middle of April. We got a great deal on Expedia. We enjoyed our stay, the bed was very comfortable and the room was very spacious. All rooms have a balcony facing the pool/ocean, the balconies are nice. The room had AC that worked very well. The shower had plenty of hot water. You can choose when the staff cleans your room using the light system. The cleaning staff was friendly, always courteous. The front desk staff however was not very friendly and rarely greeted us when leaving or returning. We did have free non-alcoholic drink vouchers through an Expedia promotion, we used them mostly for coffee down at the restaurant. The drinks at the bar were not very great, I do not recommend the piña colada there, it tasted very artificial. The pool was very nice and tranquil but the beachfront here is not ideal. I believe they provide water for free if they clean the room so maybe just do that to save money on water. We did not eat at any restaurants on site, as we prefer to eat at the local spots. The location of this hotel is not very convenient if you plan to spend most of your time on the North side. We did rent a moped and were able to park it right in front. I would certainly recommend this hotel, especially if you know the island and don’t mind traveling to go get food.

This is our third stay at Hotel Izla in under a year. It’s super clean, super safe, super quiet, with a super staff. I honestly have no clue what all the negative reviewers are talking about. Complaining about palm trees on a tropical island?! Complaining about condensation in a room with a freezing cold A/C when it’s 90 degrees outside and very humid? You can’t expect the staff to bend the laws of physics. Whatever request you have, (if you ask in a polite and pleasant manner), that request is fulfilled in a timely manner. Yes it’s a $15 cab ride each way to Playa Norte, but so what? You’d have to pay hundreds of dollars more to stay at a hotel on the beach anyway, but you won’t sleep as well because Playa Norte is never as peaceful and as quiet as Hotel Izla. We can’t wait to get back.

I went on a trip for May 26th - June 1st. When I get there I'm greeted by Isabella she checked me in the room. Isabella, wanted a credit card to hold just in case if there is anything broken. I noticed that I did not have my credit card with me. Found out my girlfriend had it with her and she was getting the cart. Isabella told me if I can give her $400 and once my girlfriend gets in with the credit card I'l get my money back. So I gave her the money but when my I gave her the credit card back, She gave me $340. I said where is my $400 dollars I'm missing $60. She told me I only gave her $340. I told her why would I give $340 when you asked for $400. She acted like I didn't give her 4 $100 bills. My girlfriend said let her have it she needs it more than us. I will say stay away from this place the people that work there are very dishonest. Especially Isabella.
