The food and the service was immaculate and a wide range of liquor options at the bars. Everyone was super helpful, the place was beautiful as well as variety of options of activities to do and book.

I recently stayed at RIU Palace Kukulkan and had an awesome experience! The hotel itself is fantastic, with great amenities that made my stay very comfortable. The staff were incredibly helpful and courteous, always going above and beyond to make me feel at home. I had no complaints and would definitely book there again. However, I did face one issue that was quite difficult. I initially booked a room for two people using Expedia and used the online check-in link that RIU had sent. When I checked in, I checked in for both people. Unfortunately, my friend was unable to make it to Mexico, and I wanted to change the other person. The hotel told me I had to reach out to Expedia because the booking was through them. Expedia rightly informed me that my booking had only my name and stated two guests, so the property should allow any guest to come in. However, the property insisted that I needed to talk to Expedia to change the check-in, and Expedia obviously couldn’t change things in the hotel system, only in their own system. This back-and-forth was very unhelpful and would be the one and only reason why I might consider not staying there again. Despite this hiccup, my overall experience at RIU Palace Kukulkan was excellent, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

This is quite new hotel (just passed its 2nd anniversary during our stay). Everything was clean and staffs were kind. Food was decent and I especially liked their Mexican foods.

So the property was beautiful and the hotel was very nice. The food was good but somewhat limited in the different on property restaurants. There is only beer and wine in the restaurants so no cocktails with dinner. Very nice lobby bar that had very good drinks. There are really only three pools as one of the pools is strictly for “Elite” guests. An $850 resort credit was offered through Expedia but the credit is only $10-$15 on each item such as messages, pedicures, etc. $310 of this credit is for golf only. The spa services are very pricey and this credit is offered to everyone which means the price through the resort was the same as through Expedia. The hotel was built in 2022 so everything is very new. The shower in the partial view room we had was amazing. Best we have ever had in a hotel. It was huge! Going north from the resort along the beach is a bit sketchy. Many of the resorts were closed and riddled with graffiti. The beach at this resort was beautiful but go walking toward the south if you are a beach walker. All in all it was a great vacation and a beautiful hotel.
