Pros: Friendly and welcoming staff. Nice vibe with good house music at times. Convenient beach access with waiters serving drinks at the pool and beach. Great food at Zango restaurant with fresh fruits and tasty breakfast options. Variety of activities: yoga, water volleyball, live music, and karaoke night. Spacious gym (although equipment needs maintenance). Mexican-themed dinner with outdoor performances was enjoyable. Cons: Rooms and facilities are outdated and in need of renovation. Poor soundproofing; noisy air conditioning. Dirty and rusty bathtub, bad tap water smell. Room service and hot water unavailable in the evening. Expensive gift shop; overpriced items like sunscreen. Difficult to reach the front desk at times. Limited loungers and no umbrellas on the beach. Some pools were dirty, with debris floating in them. Wi-Fi on the beach is unstable and disconnects often. Balcony not available in all rooms. The hotel does not fully live up to its 5-star rating.

MTS the transportation system was scheduled to pick me up at 12:00pm for a 3:02pm flight. After calling MTS and reminding them they showed up at 10:30am. Of course I wasn’t waiting in the lobby at that time so they left and reported that I was a no show and I had to get a cab costing me $50 USD and I was told by MTS and the hotel manager, that it’s nothing they can do about it

Mixed Experience at Sandos Cancun_ I recently stayed at the Sandos Cancun, and my experience was a mixed bag. While some staff members went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant, there were some notable issues that marred our trip. The positives: Daniel, Daniela, Itzel, and Abraham, the entertainers, were fantastic! They kept us engaged and entertained by the pool, and their energy was infectious. Cesar, our server at the Italian restaurant, was exceptional, providing top-notch service and ensuring we enjoyed our meals. The food, overall, was delicious and satisfying. However, our stay was marred by some issues. Our room, which didn't have a balcony, felt outdated and in need of renovation. The towels provided were not freshly white, which was a bit disappointing. The biggest issue arose when we were sold show tickets to Coco Bongo through a third-party vendor at the hotel. When my friend fell ill and we couldn't attend the show, we were told we couldn't cancel the tickets. This felt like a scam, and we were forced to pay for a show we couldn't enjoy. The situation escalated to the point where we had to involve the police to be able to leave the hotel. To make matters worse, the front desk manager seemed unhelpful and appeared to be complicit in the ticketing issue. It was frustrating to feel like we were being taken advantage of, and their lack of assistance only added to our distress. Despite the friendly staff and good entertainmen our last day was

It was my second visit in this hotel, but they didn't recognise this even when I've mentioned this on check in. I was excited to be back after 5 years. It was disappointing this time. The best thing about this place is staff. Polite a d hardworking, but clearly understaffed. Room wasn't clean, furniture, around tv and fridge dusty and some spilage which looked like been there for a while. Balcony door very hard to open. Pool with missed tiles and dirty water with sand inside. Didn't see anyone cleaning pool at all. Food average and not many choices.

I booked this Hotel as a Adults only hotel. It wasn’t I have stayed here twice before. 2014 & 2016. All areas open to everyone. All liquor available to everyone. Now all about the exclusive time share club. They give you cheap liquor. Bar one is very tired and needs to be upgraded. Beach area unkept. I had to beg the activities Mgr for beach volleyball and he finally set up a net after 5 days in a terrible area if the beach. Firewood and debris in the playing field. No boundry tape like other resorts. He gave me a excuse about the turtles in the area. The turtles lay their eggs in May and June. They then transfer eggs to corner of property. Good entertainment at the pool during the day. But though needs to be resurfaced. Busted and missing tiles in all the 3 pools! Beware! Playing volleyball in the pool is very dangerous. This resort use to be one of the top 8 4 star hotels in Cancun. I would look elsewhere!

Property was clean. Immediately upon arrival we were offered to “upgrade” our room for more money. Food was average at best, difficult to get reservations for the non-buffet locations. Gym was old and could use some attention. Swim up bar was advertised, but not there. The pools were a great set up with lots of activities throughout the afternoon.

Was not our best stay in Mexico. Hard to see how this is truly considered a VIP property. Our Expedia VIP status was not honored, staff was unorganized, and front desk hardly ever answered the phone. The property “app” didn’t work the majority of the time. Most of the gym equipment was broken. The first two days of the trip room was not fully cleaned by service. Bathroom in the room was subpar. Plumbing in the room stopped working one morning. We asked the property ahead of time to decorate and they did not.

So I came with my boyfriend, and this was my first all inclusive resort I've tried. I have to say for the most part I liked it. There were some parts I didn't like but I think maybe that isn't the resort's fault. The upselling culture is really pushy there at times, I think for a few of the staff it felt relentless, like they wanted to push and push a sale really hard. But that's how business works, so I understand. For example, I already had paid prior for VIP room so I was confused when the front desk tried to upgrade me for an extra 100 dollars, but then proceeded to give me the room anyway. I'm unsure why they tried to make me spend an extra 100. The food was okay, the Italian spot was where we liked the food the most. But the servers in every single restaurant were amazing! please tip them good! they work so hard to give you good service. We loved Cesar hahaha! The area was nice, we liked that there was bus transportation that we could take along Zone Hotelra. I would come back one day in the future for sure.
