Calipso Cottage - dog friendly - Cannon Beach Property Mgmt

This charming, quaint cottage is the perfect getaway for the pet-friendly couple or small family! Located at the quiet "North End," Calipso Cottage is a short walk to the village, and only a few blocks to Les Shirley Park or the private beach cove at Chapman Point.


Snug and adorable with a wood burning fireplace, this cottage creates a cozy open living room, dining area, and kitchen. The unique *spiral staircase hints of nautical ships of old, and leads to an open sleeping loft with a Queen-sized bed. Down the hall two other bedrooms provide either, a warm and comfortable private space with a Queen bed, or a youth room with twin bunks. The updated bathroom features a nice-sized stand up shower. (*The spiral staircase is not recommended for young children.)


Enjoy quiet outdoor mornings or sunset-evenings on the large front deck, or in the private, fenced back yard.


Accommodates 6 maximum; 1 small dog welcome; no smoking; parking for 2 vehicles.

3 night minimum stay, except during the summer months.
7 night minimum stay for the summer months.

Deck Furniture and BBQ's are available from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Calypso cottage at Cannon Beach
The location for Calypso cottage can’t be beat. Beach access, and restaurants are just a few blocks away. The living room is comfortable and cozy. There’s a fireplace and we were promised a starter log, but we did not receive it. The beds are quite comfortable however the first night before sleeping, we looked at them and found sand in the sheets and on one and on the other, there was a pair of Christmas socks, water it up way down by the foot of the bed and the sheets. Made us wonder if the sheets were washed at all, especially when they emphasize that you are not to strip the that’s when you leave. Lastly the bedrooms have these very dense gel pillows that were not comfortable at all. We wished we had brought our own. The kitchen is well appointed and has everything you need however, the plates that we tried to eat off of the first night were covered in dried food, I think the dishwasher maybe doesn’t work very well. I think our overall opinion was that it’s a cute little vacation cottage well located, but really needs to a deep clean and an update as it’s quiet .
