Everything about this property was excellent, wish we could have stayed longer. The location was excellent, it was quiet, the view is incredible. The house was well stocked particularly the kitchen. There were even lounge chairs to recline and look at the night sky. Highly recommend it.

Great Stay
The beautiful home exceeded our expectations with a hiking trail in back up to a bench on top of the hill for viewing sunrise and sunset. There were even zero gravity chairs, perfect for star gazing. The kitchen had everything we needed and more.

Bryce Canyon Family Vacation
Very nice property in a beautiful private location with a short drive to the town of Tropic, Bryce Canyon and Red Canyon. Despite being a small town, Tropic offers a decent range of dining options, from a very good upscale restaurant called Stone Hearth Grill to local favorites such as Rustler's Restaurant. A half day drive up Route 12 to Boulder, UT has amazing vistas and is well worth the time.

Stunning retreat!
We booked this property for a girls weekend getaway and we’re not disappointed. This property is truly exceptional. It is a bit remote, but completely worth it. The mountain views from the porch were breathtaking, and at night the stargazing was a truly magical experience. The home is beautiful, well stocked, and loaded with extra amenities. The owners were easy to work with and very responsive to our questions. There is a small town nearby for essentials, and Mossy Cave is very close. Bryce Canyon is about a 2 hr drive with spectacular scenery the entire way. I highly recommend this property for a family vacation or a weekend getaway. We had a wonderful stay!

Amazing Views!
Beautiful home in a beautiful area of UT. Great place to stay with proximity to Bryce, Kodachrome, and other hiking/adventure opportunities in the area. Views from porch were sensational and night sky was fantastic! Home was comfortable with large windows throughout to take advantage of the magnificent scenery. Enjoyed our stay there immensely. It was hard to leave such a beautiful place!

Didn’t want to leave!
The pictures don’t do the home or the location Justice. This is an incredible stay! Minutes away from Bryce and close to many other parks. The kitchen and bathrooms and truly every other part of the home- it’s pure luxury. Heated kitchen floor!!! Which is soooo good when you’re trying to get moving in the morning! My hubby and I were seriously so sad to leave it, I just have to hope it’s still on VRBO when it’s time for us to return. Fingers crossed!!!

Absolutely Wonderful
We obviously love this house and location since this is our second stay. It is clean, fully supplied, offers the most stunning views and is only 17 miles to Bryce Canyon, down the round from Kodachrome State Park, not far to Grosvenor Arch, Willis Creek and Mossy Cave Trail (all worth it). You are in a very private location with a trail behind the house that provides a view from the hill. The house is handsomely appointed with a large kitchen and pantry. There is plenty of room for a party of five or six. There are roofed porches front and back of the house and a garage. We spent a lot of time on the front porch appreciating the beauty. The owner is very helpful and communication is excellent. There’s small grocery stores close and even In Escalante but I’d advise to stock up on produce prior to arriving. You can also go to a larger store in Kanab if you go to Zion (1.5 hours). Bryce is worth visiting several times especially at sunset (Sunset and Bryce Point have incredible views). Second time around, I highly recommend this house. You will not be disappointed. It will always be close to our hearts ❤️

This was an amazing place. The inside was well furnished, very comfortable, clean, well maintained and spacious. The front porch was very relaxing in the evening and great for sunrises in the morning. The kite hen was well stocked with everything you would need. About 20 minutes to Bryce Canyon and about 2 hours to Zion.

One of the best VRBOs we stayed in
This home is a solid 5 stars. My husband & 2 kids (12 & 14) all loved the place. Driving up it looks a little small, but not once you are inside. It is very spacious & well laid out. The kitchen was great with lots of countertop space and well equipped with dishes, cooking supplies (including a ninja blender) & spices. The home was well stocked with essentials (paper towels, tissues, soap, conditioner, etc.). The home was clean & comfortable. There were games & puzzles & a TV that had Netflix, Amazon Prime & Disney+. The place had spectacular views out the many large windows. It was very quiet as your closest neighbor is a herd of steer on the other side of the street. The short hike in the backyard to the top of the hill was great. The home is very close to Kodachrome Park (enjoyed the hike to the Box Canyon). Mossy Cave (Tropic, UT) was also a fun hike. The home is very close to Bryce Canyon (about 30 min drive), which has literally the most beautiful natural scenery in the world. We saw lots of wildlife (mule deer, turkeys, coyotes, pronghorn antelope). We also drove to Orderville to do tours. We loved them! We also did some shooting with Robert Lacey in Orderville. Rob is an NRA certified instructor & has a variety of guns to shoot. The whole family felt comfortable with Robert, who is a super nice guy.

Bryce Canyon Trip
We booked the property for a few days the week of Thanksgiving and could not have been happier. The home is very clean and well decorated, the kitchen is well equipped with new appliances, and the views from the home are beautiful. My family loved the heated floors. If you’re looking for an upscale comfortable home for your trip in the Bryce Canyon/Grand Staircase area, you can’t go wrong with this property. It’s about 25 mins to Bryce Canyon National Park and an easy drive to many state parks and BLM sites such as Willis Creek slot canyon. The dark skies here are beyond beautiful and the stargazing is excellent. The owner was responsive, and the rental was seamless with no issues. Keep in mind this is a remote area. We found it best to bring our groceries from a larger outlying town on the way in for better selection and pricing. I highly recommend this property.

You'll never want to leave
Our second visit and a new name/new owner doesn't change the magic of this house. We love the location, the views, the comfort. OK, there still isn't a cooling rack in the kitchen and substituting a bunk bed for the queen in a bedroom doesn't really work for us (although we could see how it might for others). Highly recommend!

Wonderful location and spacious property
Lovely experience - great house with views from front patio. The home was comfortable and well furnished with leather reclining chairs, an electric fireplace, and induction cooking on stove. The hammock on the front patio and the dark skies were wonderful. For ease of sleeping after sunrise, I’d recommend the addition of blackout curtains in the bedrooms. We enjoyed our side trips to Bryce, Kodachrome, and the Grand Staircase for hikes. Bring a 4 wheel drive car for driving in the Grand Staircase area :)

The house is beautiful, very comfortable and well appointed. Every window features stunning views. We enjoyed the short trail on the property and spending time on both patios. The living room is very comfortable with an electric fireplace and receiver so you can play music. Complimentary wine was appreciated. Great place, really enjoyed it, had a fun time.

Beautiful home. Perfect location.
This home was one of my very favorites (and I have stayed in very many). There was nothing about it that felt like a rental. It truly felt like your home. We were there for an early season hiking vacation. This home put us in close proximity to dozens of astounding hikes.

Joe and Par are try superhosts! The property was spotless, tastefully decorated, and offered every amenity needed and then some. About a 15 min drive to Bryce where our family of 4 spent 3 days hiking. Stunning area and the house was a welcome retreat , including the view of the Milky Way and thousands of stars. Spectacular views and comfy beds, new high end kitchen and cookware (much appreciated)! Joe called to ensure all went well - so pleasant to work with. Thank you again.

Stunning and Welcoming
Although we spent most of our week at the hacienda hiking at Bryce, Kodachrome and the Escalante, we devoted one full day to simply enjoy the surrounding beauty of the land just out the window, and the design, comfort and craftsmanship of the home. On top of that, the hacienda’s owner Joe Kros was welcoming, knowledgeable about the area, and responsive to our questions. Be sure to take the trail to a knoll overlooking the home. The bench at the top is perfect for sunsets and stargazing.
