Overall, this property was what I expected - basic, clean accommodations with a few nice amenities, at a VERY good price. Just check around and you won't find any apartment or small home at this rate in the Cape Charles area. Had the price been higher, my expectations would have been higher, and the review would be negative. The bed was comfortable, the sofa and loveseat looked brand new, and the dinnerware was quite nice. We only stay at places where we can bring our dog, and having the huge open area to walk him was convenient. Now for the down side - the check-in process was messy. There are 4 apartments - A, B, C, D. We did not receive any info about which place we were assigned, just to go to the "large metal yellow building" for our keys. Well, there are two large metal yellow buildings, one immediately behind the property and the other, a repair place of some sort, next door. There was no one at either property when we arrived, and the phone number we were given for "Amanda" turned out to be wrong, because Amanda no longer works there. She did respond to our text and told us to text Michael, who got back to us right away, but didn't know which apartment we were supposed to stay in. Fortunately, the woman who was staying in apartment B and the guys in A were around, so we just went into C and retrieved the keys on the kitchen table. Not a terribly big deal, but the process needs to be straightened out. On the positive side, we saw the guy who takes care of the property, Keith, several times, and he was very friendly and helpful. Lastly, the kitchen sink area needs an update. Overall, the place was a good value and if you are looking for an inexpensive stay, this fits the bill.
