Cosy cottage on the grounds of Mathern Palace; sleeps 4 with large kitchen/diner

The Potting Shed is a beautifully restored 19th Century Hay Barn set on the historic grounds of Mathern Palace, a Grade I listed property dating back to 1408 and notable for its restoration by Henry A.Tipping in 1875. Village pub - The Millers Arms - is within walking distance in the local village of Mathern, and there are plenty of footpaths to explore the beautiful outdoors. The Potting Shed is a modern and comfortable retreat, ideal for exploring the Welsh countryside and in close proximity to Bristol.

The cottage has been designed with a large, modern open plan kitchen/diner with breakfast bar and dining table that comfortably seats 4. Off the kitchen is a separate lounge and TV area to sit comfortably and relax and upstairs, there is a family bathroom and two generous size bedrooms. Smart TV with netflix and prime video apps is provided.

The Potting Shed has a generous gravel front garden and a shared back garden with neighbouring cottage; Gardener's Cottage.

Upon arrival, you will find a welcome pack with recommendations of restaurants, forest walks, kids activities, bike trails etc .. There are tonnes of outdoor activities on our doorstep!
