Location was good, staff lovely but room dirty, toilet had never seen bleach and bed badly made so sheets kept coming away showing a disgusting mattress, had a sofa bed but no spare bedding for it Communal areas were lovely

Solid and reasonable hotel for city centre
Overall, hotel is great. Good location, nice staff and good facilities. There was a slight delay in checking in and some of the facilities were temporarily closed unfortunately when we arrived.

Check in was a poor experience - ignored until the staff member completed her task on the computer and then there seemed to be some communication/language barriers?. Paying £10 for parking was another negative. Positives- Rooms were clean and spacious and quiet

Nice, clean comfortable room
Nice clean room. Ample parking (£10 per day), short stroll to the city centre. Handy local convenience stores and close to major road links. Would stay here again.

Dreadful stay. Sofa bed meant for my tiny daughter was riddled with fleas from previous night's dog guest - husband slept in that bed instead and woke up covered in sore fleabites. Swimming pool absolutely filthy with thick clumps of hair and dirty wet tissues surrounding the pool. Given email addresses to contact people to resolve issue but nobody has yet bothered to respond to the several emails we have sent. This review will remain unless somebody contacts us about this very serious matter.

About a 15 minute walk to the stadium and a 10 minute walk to the centre itself. The hotel is your standard big chain affair. The restaurant was nice and reasonably priced. The room was very clean and spacious though there was a strong smell of bleach when we entered, which I guess shows that it was clean. The main issue was the lack of hot water in the morning and the fact the staff did nothing about it apart from directing me to Expedia. Expedia were then saying they couldn’t get the hotel to engage with them about the issue. Lesson learnt, don’t stay at Novotel in the future.

The lady at the spa spoke very rudely to me when I didn’t realise we had to sign in and walked straight through to the spa. That wasn’t nice. But the pool and spa area was fantastic, and every other aspect of the hotel was good. I’d definitely go back. About a 10 min walk into town.
