When we arived we checked in to our room the following mornig i took a complaint to reception about the state of the headboard and showed a photograph about the problem and the receptionist offered a different room and we exepted it after viewing it. We are happy with our stay and would return there iff we were to go too Cardiff again .

Hotel was fine - good value. Bathroom was clean and bed very big. Room was huge although smelt a bit stuffy so opened windows the whole time but overall this hotel is absolutely fine if a bit tired. Staff were excellent and breakfast good.

Great location, stayed here for the Cardiff half, beware we were close to the start line and facing the road. Therefore woken up by the noise through the night of setting up etc. The hotel is a bit tired and everything squeaked a bit. Breakfast was nice, staff were good and location is spot on. I would recommend even with the negatives.

Decent central hotel with great staff
Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Had a huge room with a castle view. Room and hotel need updating. Very dated and poorly designed. Noisy heating(?) at night needs sorting. But on the whole a pleasant stay for one night.

Excellent stay in Wales
excellent stay for the Cardiff Marathon , pleasant and helpful staff at reception . We had a twin room which was pleasant and value for money. Location was perfect , close to transport ,city cenre and castle.Will certainly re-book when next in Wales.

Very nice room and helpful staff. The only area that could be improved upon is the bed. Our mattress seemed uneven which did affect our sleep. Good overall though, thanks.

The whole experience at the Angel was fantastic from the moment we checked in . Polite friendly staff who gave us great room after hearing of our journey to the hotel ! Room was nice and spacious , bathroom was large and hotel was very quiet . We had a drink at bar and pizza before heading into town which was lovely . Breakfast was great and Buffet style . Lots of choice and filled us in for our day out . Really would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay as location is also great as it’s very central .

Arrived at 5pm Saturday night asked for late check was told if doing half marathon which my hubby was then we could leave at 2pm instead of 11am. Webt to room it was hot and stuffy no air conditioner bed were really soft and flies were found dead in the bed. Single pain windows so every noise you can hear from the out side. At 11.30am Sunday i was asked to leave as i hadnt pai for late check out even tho we were told check out was 2pm due to half marathon i was called a liar by management not ever staying here again.
