Staff, amenities, and cleanliness were great, as always. This has always been a very pleasant place to stay for me. However, I am saddened by the owner's decision to use an expensive app to charge for parking. That's going to make me think twice about staying at what had been one of my favorite places in the area. Using an app like that to charge for parking in a place like Long Island, where there is plenty of parking available makes the first thing one does checking into a hotel unpleasant and just makes the owner look greedy or desperate for cash. Either way, if the owner needs the extra money that much, it should be built into the price of the room. Inconveniencing and irritating your clientele like this is not the way to go.

This hotel was not clean in common areas. The room was slightly better but had trash on the floor in the bathroom. Common areas were not vacuumed or mopped. Mud was tracked in through the entry into elevator and there was trash particles throughout the hallway and lobby area. Also the pool was closed without warning in advance.
