Fun For All Ages!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Nest. We were celebrating my parent's 60th wedding anniversary and had 21 guests ranging from 9 months to 84 years old. There is an abundance of activities for all age ranges to enjoy. My 84 year old father even gave the tree swing a try! The weather was perfect for enjoying the beach and the younger kids loved all of the beach toys on hand. There seriously is no shortage of anything from kid-friendly toys to adult games. The house was clean and well appointed with an extremely well-stocked kitchen. We loved all of the outdoor seating areas and multiple decks. We had a blast and the host was incredibly accommodating, answering every question in an extremely timely manner. We would highly recommend this property!

The Nest was a great house for us! Lots of gathering spaces, lots of shade on the house, and a great sunny beach. Many included items helped us all not to pack as much, packnplay's, highchair, crockpot, lots of towels, sand toys, just wonderful! A definite 5 star!

Great home for relaxing and enjoying the water
This place was great for an out of way, relaxing vacation. They absolutely have EVERYTHING available that one could need. Outdoor grill, coffee makers, canoes you can use. There’s table tennis, life jackets. The small private beach is perfect for kids or adults to just relax and play in the water. Do note, that to get to the Walmart or other larger stores is like a 30 min drive and best to do it in the daytime, as most of the small roads that u will take are not lit.

Property was well maintained. The place can accommodate infants to adults.
Once we arrived there was something foot everyone. The property had choices an enjoyable beach, dock for pontoon, swings and hammock, fire pit, yard to play ball and hoop for basketball. We enjoyed it all. The kitchen accommodation was amazing for our group. The porches were roomy. I believe at least three balls went down into the tree slop perhaps into to lake. The toilet positions were interesting a couple of them wouldn’t allow the door to close when sitting.

We had a fabulous time! This place was huge with so much seating and sleeping options. Tons of games and well stocked pantry. Would totally go here again. Water was perfect temperature and fire pit was used every night. Wi fi was spotty but other than that, it was perfect for our group.

Beautiful and spacious property
Property was beautiful and spacious. Property manager was very prompt to respond to our questions and very helpful. We stayed during winter holidays so we did not get to make use of the outdoor activities, but the whole family enjoyed our stay.

I had a wonderful stay. The property was very well equipped with everything we needed and then some. The freezer was a nice surprise. The private beach was a big hit with all the guests. We took full advantage of the many outdoor spaces. The gas grill made grilling easy.

Great Weekend with Extended Family
Our extended family loved this property. We have stayed in several VRBO's in Southern Illinois, and this by far has been the best one. The kitchen was well stocked. Having beach toys and beach towels, as well as adult outside games was an extra bonus. We LOVED this property, the property managers were accommodating and easy to work with. We will definitely be back.

Great vacation
House extremely well stocked. We loved the lake and the beach. Our guys caught lots of fish and so did the kids. The decks are fantastic and we all wanted to be on the swinging beds. Great vacation had by all!

Perfect House for a Family Reunion
This property has it all for large family reunions. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we have ever seen in a rental. There are games galore and plentiful seating. The rental agent was super accommodating and quick to respond. What a perfect setting for large groups!

The Nest was a perfect get away for our families. The private beach provided a safe and great way for everyone of all ages to enjoy the weather and water. The home provided more than amble seating for dinning and relaxing both inside and out. The description of the home was very accurate to what the home provided. We were able to rent a boat through Stay N Awake rentals that allowed us a boat to be docked at the house all week and was well worth it. We would highly recommend the Nest for any large family gathering.

Perfect for a group retreat
We were very happy with our stay here! Crystal quickly responded to each question I had during our visit. We loved all of the gathering spaces - for shared meals and outside group meetings. The kitchen was well equipped and the beds were comfy. Lots of seating around the fire pit and lovely hammocks. We saw amazing birds and even shooting stars! We would highly recommend it.

Wonderful Home for a family Vacation
Our family rented this beautiful home for a family vacation to celebrate my mothers 80th birthday. We loved having our own private beach and enjoyed kayaking on the lake. The water temperature is perfect, it is not too cold and not too hot. Very refreshing on a hot summer day. We played endless outdoor games during the day under the fans located on the ceiling of the deck. We ate every meal but one at the house. The house is well stocked and clean. Great trip, I would recommend highly.

It was our first full family vacation from the grandparents to the great grandchildren. Everyone enjoyed their time. The house had all you could need and more. Life needs more getaways, porch swings/beds and family time !!!!!!!!

Awesome “fam-damily” vaca 2021
The property was beautiful! Every need we had was fulfilled. So easy with check in. Loved the basement area for our kids (ages 8-15). The kitchen was very well stocked with dishes, flatware, top quality pots & pans, crock pots, even a margarita machine! So much beautiful outside seating, and the deck swings made from twin beds were awesome (a couple people are stealing this idea), huge BBQ grill. We had a boat and everyone had so much fun tubing & skiing. The bedrooms were very all very nice. Linens were top quality. The kids in basement did complain that the bunk beds squeaked if someone moved around on them. Thank you!

We had a group of 12. Plenty of space to be together. Large tables and plenty of comfortable furniture. Lots of deck space and covered deck area with fans to help with the heat. For the location bugs weren’t bad. Not even a bite on me and I get bit all the time. Rented a pontoon and went tubing on a nice lake with hardly any traffic. You can do what you want. Stop the boat and anchor and jump in the water! The beach at the property is very nice and we spent hours just floating in the cove. Water temp is very warm. At least 82. I hate cold water and had no issue with this. ( I keep my pool at 87 at home). Great grill and fire pit. Lots of dishes, cookware, etc. Great baths and showers. Never ran out of hot water. Lots of ceiling fans which are great for temperature regulation. Kick butt central air. The only slight negative is the internet connection. I didn’t have too much of an issue as I made a point to not work! If you are heavy streaming or downloading large files you will probably be frustrated. If you are checking emails and streaming some YouTube you should be fine. I was. Techies may complain. Cell reception is good so that is an option. Greenville is a nice town with everything you may forget. Some interesting sites. Lots of cornfields! Staff is very responsive to any questions.
