Summary:
Welcome to Surf Station 4, built right on the Texas Ave beach access! This is a ground-level, end unit, newly renovated in 2021. The property is built right on the beach access of one of the most popular surfing spots on the island where the pipeline splits Carolina and Kure beach. This is a 550 sf 1 bedroom unit with a washer and dryer and work station for people looking to work remotely or have longer stays. It is 27 steps from the corner of the building to the beach access.

The Space:
We also supply the following for each property:
A starter kit of one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, one roll of paper towels, a trash bag, and dish soap. We also supply laundered bed linens, comforters, and 1 bathing towel and wash cloth per person. We do not supply any beach gear or beach towel. We have great rental companies on the island we would be more than happy to share the info with you. We also do not supply laundry detergent, body soap or shampoo/conditioner as we find everyone has their own preferences for these =) Please review our house rules prior to your stay

Conveniently located to all things Carolina Beach: biking, kayaking, fishing charters, hiking at the CB State Park and our famous boardwalks and fishing piers with great restaurants and shopping! Downtown Wilmington and the airport less than 45 minuets away!

Cute & Convenient Place
This property was clean & updated but we did have some issues that bothered us but may not bother others. I’ll tell you about them so you’ll know if you decide to stay here. First, there’s no door on the bedroom. I don’t know why, maybe to make the space appear bigger? Whatever the reason, it didn’t work for us - my husband is an early riser & can be rather noisy in the mornings at 5:00am. Also, our dog isn’t very quiet. It would have been nice to be able to shut the door. The next thing is that there are very limited “essentials” in the kitchen - no drinking cups, only a couple of wine glasses. The property manager offered to bring us some but we had already bought some. Next, there’s glaring light that comes in from the parking area next door. The bedroom has a sliding glass door covered with white curtains. It would have been nice if the curtains were dark to cover up some of the light. I woke up at 2:00am thinking it was time to get up - that’s how bright it was. The AC units are VERY noisy. About every 30 minutes, they’ll kick on & scare you, especially if you’re sleeping. The noise only lasts about a minute but it happens about every 30 minutes. I’d recommend bringing fans to stay cool because you’ll most likely have to turn them off in order to sleep. Like I said, some of this may not bother you but it did bother us & we ended up leaving a day early. We spent the day at the beach & were exhausted & knew going home would be our best option for sleep.

No soap and shampoo shelf in shower.
Soap went flying across the bathroom. Very irritating. Only a partial roll of toilet paper that lasted one evening. The air conditioners both leaked all over the floors. It’s very bright. Bring your eye covering for sleep. Excellent location. Very clean. Beach access and restaurants very convenient.

Best thing was access to the beach
Left the condo cleaner than we arived. Cleaning crew didnt even vacuum. Floor was covered in sand. Lost $200 worth of food because the freezer didnt work. Ice maker didnt work. Had to pay for parking our second day because all spots (and the small grass area next to us) had vehicle's in them. Over all not worth the money we spent. Will not stay again.

Perfect location!
Great location with the beach only steps away. Outdoor shower a plus to minimize sand indoors. A broom would have been good to have on hand. Parking was very convenient, too. Overall the interior was comfortable and perfect for our short stay with most time spent outside.

A quick getaway
We had a great time on our short little vacation at Carolina Beach. If I had one critique about the property it would be the den furniture- it wasn’t very comfortable but other than that it was perfect!
