Very nice host and great communication
The host of this property was super nice and communication was always immediate and clear. This property is probably ideal for most people but there were some things about it that were less than satisfactory for us. I chose it for the location and honestly, we still drove to most anywhere we went. Depending on your plans, you could possibly rent something cheaper further out. But if you want to be downtown, this is a great location. The listing does mention the sloped porch but I am pretty sure there is way more slope there then is normal. We honestly did not feel safe walking on the porch or lounging outside. Inside the home, be aware that the kitchen is very sparcely supplied. There is only one large non-stick skillet, a few pots/pans, cups, glasses, plates, silverware, couple of mixing bowls. There is nothing provided to store any leftovers in, no plasticware at all, so make sure you allow for that. There is only one plug to the left of the sink so you have to move all your appliances over there to use them. There is no dining table but a bar and two barstools. The dryer works well however, for some reason it would deposit some lint back onto our clothes. The water pressure is adequate, but nothing to brag about. This is an older home and they have done a lot to keep the interior more modern looking, but just be aware that it still has a lot of older home "charm" to it. The beds were incredibly modern and comfortable.

Just came to town for work and wanted to be a little closer to all of the action. Comfy beds, good WiFi, easy parking accessā€¦ thatā€™s all I needed. Easy walk to resultants close by, I was with my aunt so we ubered to our destinations which were quick 10 minute rides. It is an older home but isnā€™t that part of the charm of the city? Slept surprisingly well because the king bed was so comfortable, surprising because it can get loud outside of the house with traffic and construction.

lovely stay in Charlston
We all enjoyed our stay here very much. The home was clean and historic with plenty of room for the 5 of us. The air condition and shaded porch was a welcome retrieve from the heat of the summer. The property was in close proximity of everythere we wanted to do while in Charlston. If we visit again, we will definitly return here!

The house requires significant upgrades for safety
The doors did not shut properly and were not secured. The house requires updates, the pictures online are deceiving and the location is not ideal for walking to and from tourist attractions on King Street. As a result of this, we would not recommend this location as am ideal home.

The soft furnishings and linens, and supplies provided were great. The responsiveness of the management team excellent when we faced issues. When renting this though, beware that this is an old building where it really does need a major paint job inside to tidy it up and match the standard of furnishings provided. It's a very small bathroom for 3 bedrooms to share.

This location is walkable to the heart of things. Near King St and Just 25 min walk or about a mile and a half to everything. Coffee shop 3 blocks away. Old historic house so donā€™t expect new :)

House with 2 car parking spaces is in good location, walking distance to center. Very clean. Only disadvantage is teeny-tiny bathroom. Wouldnā€™t recommend for more than 3-4 people. The 3 of us did enjoy the stay very much.

While this house is clearly very old it was well kept and comfortable. Do not expect new and shiny in this area of town but the charm and history is unparalleled. We really enjoyed the stay.

Great weekend stay!
I stayed here for a girls weekend with two old friends. The booking, check-in, and check-out processes were all very clear and friendly. The location is great - a nice walk from the big sights around South of Broad, the French Quarter, etc. Also, the neighborhood itself has good restaurant options in a very close walk - we enjoyed Fuel Cantina, and were sorry to miss Chasing Sage (closed Sundays). The unit was exactly as described and was clean and comfortable with easy parking. Would return!
