Facility was great. The housekeeping staff was horrible. No towels replaced, ran out of face clothes, replaced coffee with KCups of tea. There was no Kuric, and I don't drink tea. Plastic garbage can liner were not attached, garbage fell all over. It took several calls to main desk to have issues "resolved". For the first time ever no tip was left

I was a little concerned with some mixed google reviews. However, we had an excellent experience, and here are my thoughts. The hotel is barely a block from King street, which is a main thoroughfare for food and shopping. It is a mile from City Market, which may be a little long for some, but we walked it with a toddler and stroller, and it was easy and safe. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room and hotel were very clean. Breakfast was great: fruit options, meat options, potatoes, waffles, grits, yogurt, and a great variety for coffee, tea, milk, and juices. Location and safety: This is in downtown, historic Charleston. The surrounding area matches ANY downtown area. We felt safe, and the hotel, just as other higher priced options do, keeps an eye on who does/does not enter, requiring keyed access to elevators too.

The rooms were spacious and very clean. Property is conveniently located to shops and restaurants. Staff was great and very accommodating. Bed pillows were completely worn out and needs to be replaced asap.

Rooms need refurbishment
We arrived very late due to a flight delay and arrived at our room at 2:30 am. It was shabby and had a terrible odor like cat urine. We toughed it out due to the hour but thankfully were able to be moved the next day. Even the lampshade had a hole in it. Just not at all a Hilton type property. The lobby was nice but rooms badly need a deep professional cleaning or refurbishment. We love pets but prefer not to smell them in our room. There were a number of pets on our floor. The young staff were very helpful and valets were great. That is why my rating is as high as it is. I went back and read reviews after our issue and saw several with the exact same problem. A quality control person from Hilton needs to walk each room in this hotel. The bed linens are minimal. There is nothing luxurious about the rooms. I felt that the online photos and description led us to expect a higher quality hotel. It was almost $400. per night but didn't feel that way. Even our drapery hems were ragged like they had been chewed by an animal. I cannot imagine what else could cause it. We were fine with the location. It was really that the rooms are tired and need extensive professional cleaning or renovation. For that reason we would not stay there again.

Excellent review. Good location to the Tourist Center Hub for free shuttle service with 3 routes. Took shuttle from airport but desk was unaware and not helpful with transportation back to airport. Wasn’t til 3rd consigier knew of the Green Cab company that actually responded to our call. We made it back to airport. All else was great!

Front Desk clerk was very helpful. I arrived early. She said she would text me when my room became available which she did. Then she followed up shortly afterwards to check that I was happy with it. One thing I would have enjoyed is a bar menu. No food service at the bar.

Great property. Nice large rooms with great amenities. Very close to excellent shopping and restaurants. We will definitely go there again.

We had a great stay here in the historic district. You could walk to many restaurants and shops. The hotel even gave us a list of restaurants listed by walking distance which was very helpful.

Place is in a great location if you are interested in the Historic District. Overall the hotel and staff are nice. Breakfast was free and ok. They do have a pool which is decent but would be nice if they had a hot tub too. I got a King Suite and it was pretty nice, even had a small kitchen which I didn't use other than the fridge. The visitors center is only a block away and from there you can get information about the area, bus rides and tours. There are 3 local loop busses that are free you can take to the market, waterfront, downtown, etc. Going home I took the route 11 bus to the airport and it only cost me $1 since I'm over 55. King Street is only a block away and there is lots of restuarants and shops. I was there on a weekend in April and King Street was really jumping. Next time I am in Charleston I will probably stay here again.
