overall pretty good stay. clean and they had a really good breakfast set up and great coffee. only complaint is that they did charge me twice for the incidental nightly fee - $25/night, should have been $50 for my two nights but they charged me $100 - $50 x2. it was a mistake on the part of the check in personā€¦ not a huge deal but annoying that it tied up an extra $50 for the weekend plus the couple of business days that it takes to fall off and go back in my bank account

Any time in Charlotte area I stay here
Always easy check in. Rooms are always clean. Bed and linens are very comfortable. Really good breakfast in the AM. Whenever we're in the area this is where we stay.

I booked this as a stay for my parents and was very disappointed to learn about the bad service they received. They checked in on a Friday and did not have their room cleaned until Tuesday morning, even though they indicated as directed that they wanted their room cleaned. My biggest concern is toward management, who when told about this did absolutely nothing to absolve the problem.

Best Western Huntersville North Carolina
Everything was exceptional from the housekeepers to the maintenance guy. Lashay and the kitchen worker were awesome. Boreeya just a jewel. The corporate office lady was as kind as they come. I am a hurricane survivor and I would like to say that Zaria the night receptionist took over an hour of her time to allow me to talk and grieve. I would ask that there needs to be a charging station in the rooms and the faucet in the tub was dangerously faulty. There were also amazing hiking trails near me which put me at ease. I would suggest that the motel do some research and tell the customers about what was around. Latta Nature Reserve is fairly close. The pictures are posted. The only really negative experience I had was with the property manager, Stephanie Johnson. She was dismissive and rude. I asked to borrow a block and she leaned against the wall, rolled her eyes, and refused to even look. Lashay was there and tried to make an attempt, but I think she feared for her job. I also believe that Zaria was fired for helping me. I am a retired teacher and as calm as they come. But I suffer from PTSD and Stephanie Johnson made my experience worse. I could not eat or sleep because I was triggered from the storm and the stress from her bullying felt like an assault. Unfortunately, road construction made it difficult to get in and out of lot. Not their fault, obviously. Lobby seemed dated and furniture worn. Otherwise everything was clean and staff was helpful.

If you live within 50 miles of the property you will not be allowed to check in and will be turned away. No where does it state this as a rule or restriction when we booked and this information is also not supplied on the properties direct website. Management stated there was no exceptions to this rule and would not comment if it was due to the recent weather related disaster or keeping local mischief away. Itā€™s also intrusive to have your address read out loud and verified in front of a packed lobby of guests. You will wait in a long line to check in with only one staff member who turned customers with new or prearranged accommodations away. We stayed one night here during the week but would have chose other accommodation had this information been revealed prior to booking which it should be as this was a time consuming hurdle. No matter why the policy is in place, it should be prior beforehand knowledge.
