Whats going on!!!
I worked in the hospitality industry for over thirteen years and I have never stayed in hotel that didn't have any amenities in the room, no phone, no place to hang clothes, no microwave or refrigerator, no coffee maker. I was told by a member of the Lake Norman Inns and Suites that I could use the microwave the coffee maker in the common area. The smoke detector was missing!!!

The room was not clean (didnā€™t look like it had been vacuumed in a few days, very dusty). The light fixture between beds was not attached to the wall completely, the bathroom needs a re-do (tub faucet was rusted and dirty). The in room fridge had a loud compressor that cycled off and on.

One of the most disgusting hotel experiences I've had in quite some time. Literal pile of garbage in the room upon check in. Sticky substances and dirt scattered about. A bar of soap propping up a corner of the refrigerator. A discarded pacifier hanging from a lamp. Pubic hair stuck to things. Gross. Luckily staff gave me a new room when I showed them pics. The new room had an odd smell but I was too tired to complain further. Would not recommend

The room had an awful smell as if there had been smoking in the room. The room was supposed to be smoke free. The room had mold in the shower. The parking spaces were extremely narrow.

Stay was OK but lots of broken stuff in the room. 2 lamps not working, the doors on the closet broken and off the tracks, a dresser drawer, plus the room was a little musty smelling. Ac / heat unit was very loud . I would spend a little more next trip but hey, it was OK for the money.

Time for refurbishment and a good scrub.
The water in the shower ran/dripped all the time. That said the shower was nice and hot. The lamp shade was broken. The towels were small but soft. The desk chair needed to go in the skip. The leather had long peeled off and the sitting chair needed a good scrub. I got some flip flops to wear in the shower. Some stains/marks needed to be scrubbed off the walls. Lastly when I made the reservation it said we could pay at the desk. Evidently this wasn't true and we were forced to scramble with a credit card number driving down the interstate. The desk clerk was very nice when we got to the desk.

Nice room and price but pretty much no real clean
Decently nice room but wasn't cleaned. The bed had pet and human hair on the pillowcases and sheet so they obviously weren't changed. And table tops and microwave, bed or toilet obviously weren't cleaned at all. But we got a really good price so I guess cleaning isn't included with the price we paid. haha But for real, the maid needs to be fired if they were supposed to clean because they didn't do the job.

Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. They overbooked the hotel and ā€œupgradedā€ us to a ā€œfamily suiteā€. That meant a door between two rooms. The second room had a bed and tv. The bathroom was shared. The hotel while reopened under a new name has not been updated. Window sheers had coffee stain all the way up. The room and bathroom seemed clean but just dingy from age. I gave no idea whatā€™s going on with the room doors on the first floor. They look like someone started to sponge paint them. Idk. Went to get some juice Sunday morning and breakfast was already closed before 9:30. That seemed very early for a Sunday.
