Will never stay here again
Dirtiest hotel I’ve ever booked in my life. The shower had buildup and the GROUT!!!!!!! I am not exaggerating when I say the grout in the bathroom was so dirty it was black! The only it wasn’t black was up against the walls where people don’t normally walk. There was also a cigarette butt at the entrance on their mat. When we checked out I saw someone outside smoking a cigarette right by the entrance, I thought to myself thank God that’s not valet! To my surprise the guy walks in and HE WAS VALET! I have a 2 year old and if it wasn’t 4am we would’ve walked to get our own vehicle! The smell was horrible and I have never in my life seen anyone smoke cigarettes while valeting. When we got in my truck it smelled just like cigarettes. The one star was for it being so close to the spectrum center and Desiree’s customer service.

Damaged car
Hotel is perfect location and great shape. However the passenger side mirror was damaged. Obviously from the Valet attendant. Our dash cam shows them flying through the garage and then having to slam suddenly. You can not see the rubbing of the mirror in the video but we can tell when it happened. We reported to hotel and they denied it.

This hotel is right next to the spectrum center which is a big plus. The rooms are nice, but have some age. The breakfast buffet could have been better. Food was average and the station was very messy. Also, the bathroom in the lobby was disgusting. You expect more from a higher priced hotel.

the associates are warm and polite. They were such a good greeter. Very accommodating and never embarrassed you. Facilities wise, organized , neat and they have everything you would need for. Live the place because historic sites are walkable. Public transpiration accessibility is perfect. Just across the hotel. And even my friends were delighted whe they visited. The room are so big and you can cook your food. It feels like you in your own place. I would love to come back again. I would prefer Hyatt on next travel destination.

Sometimes it’s how you handle the challenges.
The overall stay was good. I did find a cigarette bud under the bed, the bathroom sink was slow draining, and the Wi-Fi was not working properly. We shared our concerns with Scott at the front desk and everything was taken care of by the time we returned from dinner. Scott was courteous and extremely professionally. He even followed up with us when we returned. Excellent customer service.

Everything was good, except sorry the surprise 50 bucks to park our car. This seems to be a way to make the customer feel there getting a good price on a room and than oh yer there’s a 50 parking fee. As a customer if I’m staying at your house than parking should not be an extra fee. It’s a money grab just include it in the room fee.

Great for Charlotte Spectrum Center Events
This is such an excellent location if you're going to the Spectrum Center. I got a great price. And the staff was helpful every step of the way. Downtown hotels can be intimidating, especially close to major venues, but the Hyatt House is easy to find and helpful when you arrive.
