Hotel was perfect for our weekend trip to UVA!!!
Very nice clean hotel with excellent service. We enjoyed the evening cookies and the breakfast. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in the area.

Beautiful hotel! Rooms are so comfortable and beds are great! Wish we could have stayed longer. Its a beautiful area with so much to do. Hope to visit again and stay longer!

Very handsome hotel with a slight European air. Very clean. My room was big, pretty and spotless. Even had an extra tv in the sitting area. This was a normal 1 bed (king) room, on the 3rd floor, not a suite. The a/c was silent (loud a/cs are my pet peeve) and the bedding comfortable. Pretty trails right outside for walking. Tea-time at 5!

The staff member that check me, was not friendly, did not say welcome, did not tell me any of the amenities of the hotel, Ex,. Hours for the amazing breakfast, after i sign car license parking info, did not day have a nice stay, or let me know if you need anything She hates her job, and i would fire her. I wanted to leave because of her( the evening person on nov, 22, 2024 Otherwise breakfast amazing and room very clean

A welcome find
What a great find! This inn was charming, quiet and just lovely. Yes, it's an older building, but it was much more inviting than a budget chain hotel. It's true what others have said about the breakfast. It was fantastic. There was soothing background music playing, rather than televisions blaring the latest awful news or weather. The breakfast tasted homemade, not like the standard eggs from a box. There was no waffle maker for people to stand around waiting to use, instead there were tasty pancakes. And, the staff was friendly and helpful.

We had a great room. It was large and roomy with separate living area. It was convenient to all places we were going. Breakfast was good with several choices. Major concern was the front desk staff was not friendly, acted like we were bothering them when we checked in, did not smile and were all around not what you would expect at a front desk. This included 2-3 different people over the course of our 5 day stay. The housekeepers and breakfast staff were very friendly.

A few areas for improvement, but great stay overal
Booked a Superior 1 Bed King Room for just over a week. Enjoyed it very much. Great staff. Bed was comfortable. Showerhead was plenty high enough, but water pressure was low. Poor lighting around the bathroom mirror, behind a translucent mirror edge, looks dramatic but doesn't work well when trying to shave or apply makeup. Room was quiet. WiFi was slow. Normal fridge - no risk of accidentally freezing lettuce and such. Hotel breakfast was pretty much the same every day, but was good. Real cooked eggs. Plenty of variety. Pretty good coffee. Afternoon tea and cookies were fun, but have to be back in time to get them. Lobby area was nice place to hang out. Plenty of comfortable seating and tables. Some board games are available. No accommodation for smoking anywhere outside, but there's an interesting community garden and a park right next door, which are great for a walk. Great location, right by a couple main roads and just a short drive to anywhere we wanted to go in the area.

Nice location. You're close to downtown but it's not quite walkable. Nice property near a trail. Very clean and quite. Spacious rooms.
