We had a very hard time with valet parking, we paid $26 and we still have to get our own car! We were waiting for 30 minutes with no help getting to a meeting late because we didnā€™t have our car keys. We stayed at this hotel because it was closed to our office but we were held back because of the valet parking. They did have a homeless man sleeping in the bathroom and walking around.

Loved the location of this hotel in historic downtown. Easy walks to restaurants, Bodoā€™s bagels, awesome and well priced bbq. The staff are friendly but maybe not very clued in on the neighborhood or even what amenities the hotel has. Maybe to do with the very recent acquisition from Quirk and needing to hire and train new staff. The no lobby staff policy seems kinda clunky. Sometimes there are people there (they offered to let me stow my bag while awaiting checkin and the room to be ready. But they could not tell me whether my room would be ready early, giving me a number to call instead. There are no room keys - relying on a code for the doors instead that is received via email. The hotel has lots of choice for dining options including fine dining, bar/cafe dining and a rooftop that is partly covered and has a festive holiday theme going on right now. I see happy hour options till 6pm with steak frites for $18 and some drink specials. Rooms have fridges but no microwaves. They also have a keurig style coffee maker. Decor included local art work but generally a very minimalist and modern styled room with a comfy bed and nice bedding. Checkout us early at 10:30am. And late at 4pm for checkin though I was able to get my room an hour earlier by calling. I will definitely come back - and btw, there is some free street parking in the residential neighborhood behind the hotel, and lots of 2 hour limit parking everywhere thatā€™s in told is never enforced. Or valet it

The rooms are so unbelievably hot and the air does not work. I got in a little late (9pm) and the girl at the front desk told me I would be rude and disrespectful if I went to the rooftop bar to order food because they close at 10p. Floors were dirty

Staying at this hotel isnot a hospitality experience. Itā€™s renting a room. Thatā€™s all. The valet is a different company. The cafe another. The bar another. The restaurant another. Like a food court of a hotel experience. The ā€œ front deskā€ person is not empowered to help you as they have to check with ā€œvirtualā€. Which means they call someone off shore who manages many properties and they read from a manual. Very impersonal experience. We had an issue with the heat not working in our room. Multiple texts to ā€œ virtualā€ 3 phone calls to virtual. 3 visits by hotel staff who wanted to try to help but could only read from a manual or call virtual. The virtual was not able to find us another room in the hotel, would not provide us space heaters, and was unwilling to help us find a room at another hotel. They would only offer us a refund for the amount of my discounted rate for advance booking. The hotels in the area had much higher rates if we tried to go somewhere else in short notice. Thank goodness for a maintenance guy who was not on site was willing to come take a look and he was able to fix it after 3 hours in a cold room with our coats on. If you still want to give it a tryā€¦ the bed and linens were very comfortable and the shower had good water pressure and hot water. Will never stay here again, nor any other Blue Suede properties.

This hotel has 3 restaurants, it is clean and well maintained. Staff us helpful. The pre check in process is a pain. Especially if you're on the road and don't have time to for filling out forms and uploading documents.

Good location and room was clean but donā€™t plan on returning. Everything was pretty blah - room, service, gym, food and beverage. When we entered the hotel the person at the reception desk told us to use the app if we needed anything and only contact him as a last resort.
