Bathroom has mold. We checked in late at 1am in the night. Front desk gave us room 410 with mold in the bathroom and refused to change the room. Its a health hazard.

Checked in around midnight with my husband and two small children. Our door had tape covering the lower portion of the handle. Bed comforter was stained so we inspected the rest of the beds and found blood all over one of the mattresses. Bathroom sink had a towel under it to prevent the pipe from leaking on the vanity. Bathroom door had public hair all over it and didn’t shut properly. Both my husband and I felt very uncomfortable being there and do not recommend this hotel. If it wasn’t for the time of day that we arrived, we wouldn’t have stayed there. Not worth the $137 that we paid.

Floors were a little dirty in the rooms... my daughter of 8YO walked around barefoot in the room and had dirty feet. Hot tub was out of order during our stay. Elevator was OOO when we arrived so we had to lug everything up two flights of stairs. They had it fixed for checkout which was nice. Breakfast was typical free continental breakfast (meh). Clean grounds and the staff was welcoming and informative. Decent place to stay overall. Having stayed at better places on our trip, maybe would not go back.

Stayed here for 2 weeks so saw all the good and bad. Staff was very pleasant, helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and clean for the most part. There were stains on the couch, broken leg on table. There were occasional ants, but i was told that's normal down there in the summer. I kept up with keeping food put up. House cleaning was offered daily. The pool is small and outside, but private in the back with high walls. We enjoyed the pool area. Breakfast was nice to have, but the same items daily. The employee was there daily and kept up with food quantity and cleanliness. A nice QT is across the street(good pizza). Close to the highway, so not far from downtown. Internet had issues frequently. Area seemed safe. Some homeless walking down the street, but they kept to themselves. There are enough fast food places close enough to grab something. We enjoyed Zaxby's and late night Sonic icecream runs. Definitely check out the Sunday Market and aquarium when in the area.

The room we stayed in had a strong urine smell coming from the carpet next to the bed; it was so overwhelming that the first night both my wife and I had to sleep on one side of the bed to stay away from it. I mentioned this to the front desk agent and asked for housekeeping; they sprayed the carpet with some cleaning agent which lessened the odor. Second night we’re there someone set off the fire alarm in the kitchen and the entire property was evacuated. Thankfully it was only about 15 minutes before we were allowed to re-enter but by then our sleep was already disturbed. We’ve stayed at other La Quinta properties in the past, and this is our first unpleasant experience.
