Family reunion stay
The house is like someone had a great idea for design and the space but completed it 90% and stopped. The walls have drywall patches unfinished. The bathroom fans are out and there’s holes in the ceiling where they should go. The base boards aren’t installed but are just sitting against cabinets and fall. The floor transitions aren’t nailed down, the air vents pop up, the shower handle falls off when used, toilet paper holders aren’t installed right and fell off, there’s not a shower curtain liner in the bathroom so the curtain is wet and mildewy, the upstairs shower doors aren’t on the track and fall off with every use, cabinet handles aren’t installed right and come off when used. The ice machine doesn’t make ice. We were welcomed by overflowing outdoor trash cans which smelled and because of this we had nowhere to put our own trash bags. We had to buy our own pillows because the beds hardly had any to use. The basement leaks with the rain and we had to put towels down to soak up water. All in all the space is good and we’d probably rent again because there are not any other 5 bedroom rentals in Wheaton. The beds are comfortable but just be sure to bring your own blankets and pillows. The location is great and walkable to downtown Wheaton with a cute park right next to the house. If someone put some attention into finishing the little things in this house it could be a great place.

Great location- but lots of problems
The location is ideal. One can walk to town on the prairie path and to the train into Chicago. The open layout of the place was excellent for a large group for talking and eating. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms looked very nice. There were many problems with the property. The wrong code was given for entering the home. Instructions missing for how to enter a code We actually got in via a plumber who was working there who gave us another code. The lights in the bedrooms and basement turned on intermittently. The host sent an electrician who helped with this problem. The Icemaker doesn’t work The water filter and air filter on the fridge are missing. There was a large turd in the toilet in the basement. There was no heating or cooling, or the thermostat doesn’t work The handle that is used to turn on basement shower comes off in one’s hand. There is no drain plug in bathtub All of the towels in linen closet were wet. We had to put them in the dryer. The basement bedroom closet door is off its hinges The couch in the living room has a pull out trundle that isn’t attached. The first floor shower door is off the tracks. There is a loud banging noise in the back bedroom that is intermittent throughout the night. Is it a sump pump? No-one was able to sleep in the room because it was so noisy. The downstairs bathroom ceiling fan is not in the ceiling. It is lying on a shelf. There is a hole where the fan should be. Aggravations we enjoyed our stay.

Comfortable but some inconveniences
The home was very comfortable - it was modern and the beds were good. Unfortunately the repairs to make it rentable were not high quality. The bathroom sink in the half bath was leaking when we arrived. The door frame of the basement bathroom had fallen off & was lying on the floor when we arrived. The shower door in the upstairs bathroom would not stay on the track. However , none of these problems would deter me from renting again. They were just inconveniences.

Wonderful stay
What a lovely home. Well thought out renovations and very comfortable for a large family. Host was very responsive to all our questions and concerns. I highly recommend this house for a short or long term stay( I was there 11days)

Tall grass and blinking lights
Ceiling Lights in hall and 2 bedrooms not usable. Wrong bulbs . Not dimmable causes lights to flicker. Great open area . 4 king size beds with thick foam mattresses. Grass has not been cut in a long time. Didn't realize another bathroom in basement right away . Sliding door could have better signage. Kids loved pool table. We were not notified on booking of cleaning fee.

Family Weekend
We went to Chicago for a Cubs game with our adult children and grandchildren. There was lots of room for the entire family to hangout and plenty of beds for everyone sleep in. There was a nice public park nearby for the little ones to play too.

Great location
The location was amazing- so close to the train station. House was updated and beds were comfortable. There was a pile of dust and hair on the floor when we first entered that I had to clean up. Swept the floors and it was full of black dog hair- probably left over from the previous guests. Cleaning crew didn’t do a good job to get it nice and clean. No drain plug in sink of main bath upstairs, no cold water in half bath. Doors were painted white and were hard to fully close/ open. Limited toilet paper and dishwasher tablets. No kitchen washcloths and only two hand towels. Strong musty smell throughout the house. Broken handle on one of the kitchen cabinet s. Door code failed to work about halfway through and the owner never got it to work again. Backyard could be fixed up nice with the fire pit. Nice to have the pool table. With a few changes this could be a wonderful stay.

We had everything we needed, plenty of room for the 7 of us. The location was perfect for our stay as we had family nearby and used the train. It also has easy access for nearby bike trails. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and would happily recommend your location.
