Very dirty and they were renovating. That should have been noted. The name was not even on the building. If we didn’t check in so late, I would have went somewhere else! 1 elevator didn’t even work and you couldn’t stop in 2nd floor. They should be closed until renovations are done. Just a nasty dirty place.

It was being remodel and we were NOT made aware of that. The first floor had so much construction stuff you could barely walk. Their Breakfast was HORRIBLE. we tried it 1 time out of the 5 days. That was one of the biggest reasons we stayed at Comfort inn because we have stayed at several other properties and it was very nice and clean and the Breakfast was very good. Needless to say VERY overpriced especially since it was under construction and Breakfast was basically inedible

Hotel was under total renovation. Hot tub not operational. Carpet was disgusting in our room. Trash all over outside from construction materials blowing around. Construction materials everywhere, very unsafe environment.

At check in I was informed the elevator “just” broke and the only rooms are on floor 3 (due to floors 1 & 2 being renovated. My wife (with bad knees) had to climb all those (dirty) stairs in competition with half a dozen running, yelling, swearing (unsupervised) kids. The room is ok, but we are now listening to yelling, running kids and a barking, growling dog in the hall.

The hotel is disgusting. The elevators were in operable & I’m partially paralysed along the left side. My medications mysteriously disappeared & came up missing from our room . We had several conv. with hotel staff & told that we would be reimbursed & nothing has been done at this point we’ve not reacouped for any of our inconvenieces. Extremely disappointed stay away from this hotel
We were extremely disappointed with this location as it is a construction site and it was not clearly disclosed on your website. Basically the only good site was the room, which had a comfortable bed, a good A/C and it was clean. Unfortunately this place attracts quite a variety of sketchy occupants, I mean I got asked for weed. I know is legal in Illinois and it is no big deal but getting openly approached in my hotel is not my idea of vacations. I had to stay alert at all times coming in and out as I couldn’t bring myself to trust this place. Booking elsewhere would cost me $600+. I also called hotels.com to attempt to get a refund and book elsewhere but I waited awhile and got a email response to deal with the hotel directly, so not sure if I’ll continue this 15+ years relationship. It always worked for us until now. From now on I’ll call the hotels before making any commitments because I can’t relax if I can’t trust the safety of my spouse or family.

Zack at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the hotel was being renovated and was trashed, and the staff seemed to be letting it go so tbe hall carpets were a mess, trash was piled up, and only one elevator worked. Hopefully it will be nice once it's finished.

The hotel is under construction. There's workers working on 1st & 2nd floors and in the lobby as you first walk in. That's the first thing you see. Totally Unacceptable . Should have closed for renovation. No microwaves in the rooms. Substandard breakfast. The best thing about the stay was the pool. Even that had black particles in it.

When I book this stay I was aware they were undergoing renovations so I accepted a construction mess, however this property had garbage (not from construction but food waste) laying around everywhere ( hallways, ice machine area and stairwells) except the main lobby. The room we stayed in had a huge hole in the wall from obvious water damage from the AC unit. Surprisingly there didn’t appear to be any bugs and the beds were comfortable. We chose to stay since we prepaid for the room. My husband tried the breakfast and stated it was adequate. It was difficult to fine the front desk staff, we waited over 5 minutes for someone to come to the desk to check us in and we attempted to report the hole in our wall and that people were smoking in a room near us and no one was to be found. We will not be staying again.

I had a two night stay for May 17-19. First night there, we arrived in the room with some stains on a sheet, they came and changed it for us, we should’ve known better than to stay because the next morning my son woke up with many bug bites on his body, which leads us to believe bedbugs. We went down to the front desk to talk to them and demand, they couldn’t help us and kept telling us to email management and management will get back to us. On top of that, there was renovation going on, place smell like feet and Indian food, they did not tell us this when I called to make reservations. I would highly recommend this place to someone that you don’t like.
