Our huge deck, outdoor kitchen (with bathroom) and fire pit are perfect for enjoying time outdoors!

Only 20 minutes to Marianna and one hour to Tallahassee, Panama City or Dothan for those days you want to explore surrounding areas.

Great place to stay!
It’s a great house. There isn’t much locally you pretty much have to go the other towns around, which was fine with us. But take bathing suits and what not with you for the day so you don’t have yo go back to the house for anything. We had been to the area previously, and knew what we wanted to do, but if you were not aware it could be a surprise.

Very enjoable for the whole group. Plenty of seating to spread out, enjoy the birds, deer, and river. A firepit to roast marshmallows. Outdoor kitchen for cooking.

Countryside getaway with plenty of space.
I wanted a countryside getaway with my partner and friends, and this property was perfect. We’d planned on kayaking, cave diving, cookouts, and bonfires, and this location was ideal for that. Access directly onto the Chipola river was convenient for kayaking and gave some great views. Not too far from local towns to get groceries and an easy drive to the Mill Pond and the Florida Caverns State Park in Marianna. There’s plenty of room to lounge, both inside and outside. All in all, a really pleasant stay.

Peace and comfort on the river
Very nice property! We only stayed 2 days, but would stay again, if back in this area. Being the last house on the street and on the river, it was nice and quiet. We like private locations like this, but the tradeoff is that it's not very close to restaurants and attractions, if you're looking for those. Also, it can be a little difficult to find. GPS didn't work for us when using the address of the house, but the owner answered the phone right away and told us how to get there. The kitchen is well appointed and the bedrooms have comfortable memory foam mattresses, but the real highlight is the outdoor areas with an outdoor kitchen area and fire pit, upstairs covered deck, and a large lower deck with stairs down to the water.

We love the house and the set up. We had many ages there and it worked great for all of us! The outdoor cooking area and fridge and bathroom were all a bonus so we didn't have to track through the house. The people taking care of it were wonderful and were amazing on returning left behind items! We'd come back in a heartbeat!

Relaxing Home by the Water
Roomy home with two great decks overlooking the Chiopola River, not too far from the Lamb Eddy boat ramp. Great central location for those who want to paddle the Chipola River, Ocheese Pond and Dead Lake. Also access to the Chipola from the back deck. Well equipped kitchen, so we were able to cook at night. Peaceful countryside guarantees a good night's sleep. We will definitely come back if they'll have us!

River House Stay
Our occasion was my daughter in Laws baby shower, close to Blountstown where I needed to be. Nice little place on the river. with plenty of room. Communication with owner was easy & prompt. I would have given cleanliness 5 stars, but It was not season ready: Deck furniture had not been cleaned or brushed down. I did communicate this with the owner and she did say that it was a new property for them and they were working on solutions to keep outside furniture cleaner. I would definatly saty at this location again.

Girls Getaway
Three friends met in Altha from different cities for a weekend of kayaking and fellowship. Perfect location for us. Kayaked in Marianna at Merritt's Mill Pond, and on the Chipola river. Could not have asked for a more perfect house for our purposes. Did not affect the rating for the property, but did miss the convenience of a dishwasher.

What a beautiful view of the river. House was very comfortable and had plenty of room for everyone. House was completely stocked with everything you would need and very clean. Great communication with prooerty manager and would definitely stay there again.

The property is immaculate! Host is absolutely wonderful!! They have so many extras that you don’t think of until you’re there. We fell in love w the property and are definitely planning to return many times in the future!
