Had a great stay spent time with a friend. Shoping is great and easy to get to. Food choices are very very plentiful. From in hotel fine dinning to street food.Hotel staff were friendly helpfull . I would recommend this hotel and The city of Chongqing. But let a taxi do the driving

Overall, the hotel was great, deposit was a little high tho, and if you're u don't have basic Chinese background, communication is a bit hard. English is very very limited, you will get by with no English, but expect a sign language fest. Adding a surcharge fine print next to "Free WIFI" also seems a bit dodgy, but wasn't too bad, lobby wifi is free.

Hotel in nice location downtown
Overall this was a great experience. The staff was excellent. I had great service from Jackie, Vera, Crystal, Debbie , and Daisy. All of the the doormen were friendly and accommodating as well. When I first got there, I was suffering from jet lag. I asked Vera if I could change my room to the other side of the building because there was a lot of noise from the construction going on next door. She took care of me right away. An hour and a half later I was in another room on the other side of the building with no extra charge. Overall this was the best experience I've ever had in a hotel in all my travels. I would definitely use Doubletree again and I would definitely use this same hotel if I ever return to Chongqing.

Great location for shopping and food!
A short walk down hill will bring you to all the shopping malls! Even the famous hotpot place just around the corner, very convenient and very comfortable! Will totally recommend it...

Worst stay ever!
Very bad service or I may say no service at all. Smell of dampness in the room. Internet doesn't work, however they will try to charge you anyway! No bath on twin rooms which is not shown on the hotel info. Wont even give one star!

Room and facility upgrade needed
I have been coming to this hotel for a number of years. As great as the location and the services of the staff, the condition of the rooms and general facility has past its prime. Now I get the feeling of staying in a stale fake star hotel. The staff has informed me that the hotel is upgraded floor by floor, but obviously not fast enough as I was told the same last year.
