Not Glamping
I don’t want to be too harsh, because it is renting a camper. We went into the weekend with a “we are going camping” mentality, thinking my husband would tent camp outside the camper with our oldest son (8) while I would “glamp” in the camper with our 6YO, 2YO, and infant. Communication was great. The host was extremely responsive and, as stated in their info, did indeed allow pets (we have 1 dog) and additional guests (“camper sleeps 4” it said “but bring tents for more”). AC was great—super cold in Florida summer! I don’t want to be too critical, as you are camping, but I also want to be honest. We felt the description did not match what we got. The camper says sleeps 4 and has a larger bed for 2 adults (I slept there with 1 child and it worked) and a second bed for two “smaller adults” but that was not the case in our opinion. My 6 YO could not comfortably sleep with our 2YO. 6YO ended up sleeping in tent outside. That bed was SMALL and NOT for adults. It says sink and toilet but then we got message that sink is not functioning and use makeshift one outside (non potable water so I couldn’t wash bottles/cups and when raining going outside was not feasible). Toilet does not flush and bucket was provided to go outside for #2 if needed. They did add a cold outdoor shower (we didn’t use nor did we expect a shower). Outdoors, my oldest and hubby were super excited to camp but the area was overgrown and had lots of cactus. They made it work but nothing like a camp site.

Clean bed in the woods.
A clean bed in a secluded area - like tent camping without having to carry & set up the tent. 30 minutes from the manatees at Crystal River Wildlife Refuge & Kings Bay boat/swim tours. Climbing up to the bed in the camper requires young legs or an adventurous spirit.

The best is yet to come
First, the hosts at this property are fantastic. Very friendly and they want to make sure you're enjoying yourself but also allow you privacy. This camper hasn't been on the property very long and there are still a few adjustments needed to make your stay just a little better. First, there's no hot water. I surprised my wife with that detail when we got there. Also, there's not a real working toilet in the camper but you can manually flush it with a jug of water. The hosts prefer you use a bucket outside for #2. I think an "outhouse" with composting toilet would be a big improvement and maybe that will be in their future. There are a couple other small inconveniences but we had a great time. The positives far outweigh the negatives. The camper was very clean, the bedding was very fresh and the mattress was comfortable. It also has heat and AC. The campsite is very private and has it's own firepit area. The location of the property is also very quiet and very few cars going by. You hear nature, you hear the wind, you hear the fire crackling. This place truly takes you away and allows you to relax.

Cute Camping Experience
The couple we booked our stay with were great. They welcomed us upon arrival and gave us all the ins and outs on the camper. I was worried I wasn't going to be able to find the place because we came at night, but they had little lights guiding in and they called us to give us a few details so we knew exactly where to go. It's super tiny but has all the essentials including a kureg coffee maker. At the time they were doing some upgrades so the one sleeping area didn't quite suit my teenage since he's tall. But we made it work. The bed my daughter and I slept on was actually very comfortable. For two if us it would have been perfect. I would say it's great for an adult and 2 middle sized kids or for 2 adults. The owners also put together a cute area ready to go for a campfire after our day outing. They also had hammocks in the front and some animals, which my daughter loved! They gave us some feed so she could interact with them. They have one larger camper also so I imagine for a bigger family or more space this is a nice option too. They were wonderful to work with and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again in the future for that authentic camping experience.
