Unique and relaxing place to be
We are a couple in our 50-60's who thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lots of neat mid-century touches from the decor to the toys and snacks (my partner sampled the cherry poptarts our hosts provided.) Interesting layout perfect for a couple, beautiful window in the living room. Internet connection was good for working remotely from the dining room table. Best of all was the screened-in porch surrounded by old and young trees, a great spot for morning coffee or just to sit and watch the birds and squirrels. We enjoyed seeing the stars at night, which we cannot do in our home city. (Although remote enough to see the stars, it was close enough to drive to the places we needed to be in under a half hour; 10 minutes to Willoughby for a visit to the farmer's market and brunch at Chagrin River Diner.) Queen-sized bed was firm and bedding was comfortable. Towels soft and big. Good water pressure for shower. Everything super clean. Our hosts were great - provided more than we needed, and we enjoyed meeting them very much. We are looking forward to returning.

We had to be in the area last minute, and Mary's house was so convenient. She is very thoughtful and had everything we needed plus extra touches to make our stay all the more convenient. It was perfect and made things easier for us. I'd definitely go back!

After wedding
I seriously cannot say enough good things about our stay. I got married at Squire’s Castle, and was looking for a place to stay nearby after all of the hustle and bustle of the wedding. The owner was more than willing to work with me on a late check-in and a late check-out, which was very much appreciated. After checking in we even found a greeting card congratulating us on our marriage, as well as some sweet treats and a small bottle of champagne in the fridge for us. Literally felt like we were staying with friends. As for the property itself, it is nestled back into a quiet spot in the woods, which I loved, because we live near railroad tracks and so the peace and quiet was very welcome. The house was super clean and very cozy. We are so happy we chose this place to stay. It made our weekend even more perfect!!

Relaxed retro vibe
We were here for a weekend, Mary, the host thought of everything. The house had everything we needed, including extras like coffee and waters, shampoo, hairdryer, etc. We thoroughly enjoyed the screened deck for coffee and again in the evening for nostalgic board games and adult beverages. Loved it.

Over the moon
Our stay was perfect, our host Mary was so easy to communicate with and left us the best little Solar eclipse trove of Moon Pies and Sun Chips with a special boutique popcorn made for the solar eclipse event. The home was immaculately decorated in mid-century vibe, was extremely quiet, private and located close enough where we needed to be! Wonderful! 5 Stars across the board!

Back again in this cozy house in the woods! So quiet and peaceful yet minutes from everything. You can work out in the basement or just relax by the gas stove on the main floor with its wall of windows and screened porch - and games! Thanks again for a great stay!

Happy Guest in The Guest House!
What a fantastic week in this amazing house plunked in the woods! The owners next door were simply wonderful and graciously extended my stay last minute. The house’s high ceilings, huge windows, and pristine mid-century modern/retro vibe make this place so nice! The view from the screened-in porch included an entire family of deer walking through the woods. A very comfy bed, cozy gas stove up and fireplace down, and fully stocked with everything including an excellent stackable laundry- wow! Loved it! Thanks for a great stay! Anne

Cozy and Nostalgic
We enjoyed our stay at this place- it was spacious but cozy at the same time, and very clean. It had a lot of homey, vintage touches that made it feel like we were back in our childhood. Without driving far from the house we took in Historic Kirtland village, the James Garfield home, and a bit of the North Chagrin Reservation on this early November weekend trip. Everything was beautiful outside in the surrounding property, neighborhood, and general area. The hosts are kind and have made it an interesting, atmospheric, and comfortable place to stay.

Well Designed Getaway!
This is a beautiful stay amongst the trees in Ohio. Mary, the owner, gave us some history of the place as we checked in. This Dutch Modern structure was originally an office, and has it's original signage totem pole outside of the parking area. Mary has put a lot of TLC into reviving this beautiful space into multiple living areas, all thoughtfully appointed with stylish midcentury furnishings and collection of artwork. All the little details of hospitality were considered. It was truly a gem of a stay. So peaceful. Loved it!!! Thank you.

Cozy & Quiet!
My husband and I were in town for a wedding at the Tall Oaks Lodge & we needed a close place to stay for one night. It was about a 10 minute drive to the venue, so easy to get back to! The space was decorated adorably & we were greeted by the owner on arrival. Love the history of the building & the screened in back porch. Great fall views in November! We were sad we couldn’t stay all weekend to enjoy the house more!

Cozy and Quiet
Totally enjoyed our multiple night stay at this cozy and comfortable cottage. The host family was very friendly and welcoming. We felt completely comfortable and safe in this woodsy residential neighborhood. The home is very clean and tidy. The amenities are appropriately described in the listing. Watching the fall colors change around us day to day was an added highlight. This country feel place is a hidden gem, just off the main road, but close enough for us to thoroughly enjoy the nearby attractions in Cleveland and the surrounding countryside. We will definitely consider staying here again when we return to NE Ohio.

Tucked away in a quiet corner of a small leafy estate this house was perfect for our stay. The house is well equipped and the furnishings and decor thoughtfully put together to provide a quaint homely setting but with all the mod cons. Would heartily recommend it to anyone visiting the Cleveland/Willoughby area

Fantastic
This is a cute and unique little place where we spent our anniversary weekend. Hostess Mary met us as soon as we arrived to show us around. She provided so many amenities that we wouldnt have considered from coffee to snacks to soaps and shampoos, even phone chargers. I loved the 50s-style decor. The home is in a neighborhood that's in a wooded location so there's a sense of privacy and a peaceful quiet at night that put me in mind of staying in our family's wooded cabin in northern Michigan... just nature's night sounds, which created a soothing atmosphere. Everything was cozy and very clean. There are many places to explore and to dine within just a short drive. We appreciate Mary's hospitality and would enjoy returning someday.

This place is adorable! Better than the pictures and supplied very well. Decorated so beautifully! Furniture is comfy. The screen porch is like a tree house nestled in the trees. The guest house is everything I want a vacation rental to be - cozy, memorable, welcoming, spotless. I only wish I had more time for the screened-in porch. Maybe next time. Loved the selection of games. I don't often come to Cleveland, but now I'll be looking for excuses. Thanks for sharing your treasure Mary!
