Rooster's Inn offers a plethora of resort amenities and is conveniently located near many local attractions, including waterfalls, hiking trails, fishing spots, and restaurants.

Rooster's Inn is a beautifully crafted 600 sq ft cabin that combines rustic charm with modern amenities. It sleeps up to five guests, with a queen bed in the bedroom, two twin day beds in the dining area, and a pull-out sofa in the living room. We provide a variety of amenities, such as high-speed internet, a Keurig coffee maker, games, puzzles, fishing poles, and pool sticks.

As a guest of Mountain Lakes, you will have access to a wide range of resort amenities, including indoor and outdoor pools, playgrounds, horseback rides (extra fee and reservation required) in the National Forest, Clubhouse with a sitting room, TV, sauna, fitness room, pool table, football, puzzles, games, a 55-acre lake stocked with fish, paddle boats, beach, water slide, miniature golf, hiking trails, and waterfalls. Wi-Fi is available not only at the cabin but also at the Resort Lodge and Country Store.

Please note that our reservation policy limits occupancy to five guests (It’s a small cabin) and our cabin is strictly non-smoking and pet-free. An amenity pass is required for all guests by Mountain Lakes which should be purchased from the Clubhouse prior to your arrival. Adults are $8/day and children are $5/day. Please call the Clubhouse at 706-865-4742 to have your passes ready at the security gate.

Check-in time is 4 PM, and early check-in may be available upon request. Check-out time is 11 AM. Inside the cabin, you will find a Guest Book with additional important information about your stay.

The private camp ground sucked, the gate people charge every person in the party to stay on this property. Cabin was ok, and there are no guns allowed on the property and was not aware of that before hand. We are outlaws and do what we want we will not be going back to a private community again. Cabin itself was beautiful and loved everything that was provided. The resort was run down and lacking in a lot. Our host was wonderful and gave clear instructions. Enjoyed our stay at the cabin resort was not worth it.

This cabin was awesome! The host had all the little extras that one might forget and would need to run to a local store to purchase. All light switches were labeled which was a big help and things such as how to use the shower head were in the bathroom. The location was good. I don’t think there was anything negative I can say.

Perfect Getaway!
My family stayed here for a long weekend getaway. It was the perfect combination of relaxation and fun. The location allows for you to plan your trip however you want. We swam, fished, rode horses, went to Oktoberfest, hiked the waterfalls, shopped, played mini golf and so much more. The cabin was equipped with anything you need to be comfortable. We are already telling our friends where they should go on their next vacation!

The cabin was adorable, and had everything we could possibly need. Wasn't as impressed with the resort, a lot of things could stand to be repaired/maintained and the hours for the pool, putt putt, slide etc. are pretty crappy. Being that they're only open for a short season you would think they could extend their day past 6 pm. But otherwise enjoyed it, centrally located to several hikes, waterfalls, and it's a short drive to Cleveland and Helen.

I loved what the owner calls the “Rooster”. It was a great cabin experience. The Mountain Resort had great amenities for the kiddos. The owner had plenty of what ifs for all those items you may forget at home. The only thing I couldn’t get was the water being just right for me until the last day. There’s a secret to how you set it 😉. Had great sleeping for 6 but best for a 2 person getaway with no kiddos. Overall great everyone loved it. Would come back.

We were so happy with our stay at Roosters Inn! Its perfectly located close to Helen for activities, and dining. The owner pays close attention to detail. The cabin offers all you need and more. The staff at the resort were so friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the fireworks festival for all the kids. The mountain view from the clubhouse pool is amazing. We also enjoyed petting the mini horses at the stables. The Diner restaurant has yummy food for lunch and breakfast. My only complaint would be the amenities do not stay open past 6:00. This is one of the best VRBO cabins our family has stayed in. I highly recommend!

Best vacation ever
The cabin is beautiful. The property is beautiful. Carolyn is a wonderful host. Secluded, yet a 10 minute drive into Helen and a 10 minute drive to Cleveland to Walmart or their many choices of great fast food. My only complaint is that the amenities at the property close at 6 (including the pools). I recommend tubing in Helen. I traveled with a y 6 y/o and 2 teenagers and they are already requesting to visit again next year. We will definitely be back.

The most amazing VRBO stay ever!
Rooster’s Inn was the nicest, most well-equipped and the best kickoff point for adventures in the area that we have ever encountered! We visited Vogel, Smithgall Woods and Unicoi Parks. There were lots of fun things to do both in and out of the resort. The restaurant was delicious! We are so relaxed! Coming back in spring!
