cozy retreat
Very cozy retreat with comfy beds and quiet to sleep to. We didn't cook, but did notice that there were ample supplies in the kitchen. The best part was the fireplace. We sat on the couch and stoked the fire all evening. It was so relaxing. Our host was very attentive and gave very clear directions.

Cozy and Comfy
We stayed for a few days to work in peace while our roof was being redone, and the space was perfect for it. The dogs loved running around the hilly yard (there's no grass). We loved how comfortable the bed was! The neighborhood was extremely quiet, and there's a great view of the Sound out the front windows. The sauna was a bit too small for us (we're both tall), but the shower was hot and had great water pressure. And the kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals while we were there, although the cutting board is very small. I would definitely stay there again!

The best rental property I've ever stayed at
Every single thing about this property was perfect. The sauna was delightful; the kitchen had every pot, pan, and implement necessary; the bed was comfortable; the view was gorgeous; the house itself was well-appointed and welcoming. Payton's responses to every communication were immediate and the instructions and tips they sent covered everything. Cannot wait to stay here again.

Be aware...
Not for the handicapped as building is on a steep (20%+) grade with 15 steps up to the front door only the last 9 with a railing. Both bedrooms lack closets and dressers. Even suitcase stands were unavailable. A light over the kitchen sink would be a nice addition. Other than that, the place was clean the beds were quite comfortable.

I loved the style of the house and its furnishings. It was well appointed. I don't recommend trying to drive up the driveway as the gravel is deep for how steep it is..

Summer Stay
I really enjoyed the space. It was clean, modern, nicely decorated, good bed. Its a good place for two adults. I enjoyed the view and the neighbors were really nice. We are not sauna people so no comment there. The driveway however is not suitable for all cars and we had to park on the street. This was a non-plus. The loose gravel, steep incline and pot holes created a safety issue especially at night where there is no exterior driveway lighting per se. Other than that I loved my stay and felt like I lived in a glam tree house!

Road trip 2023
We had a wonderful time. The property was clean and very modern with a nice outside deck and a fire pit down below. It is small and was somewhat inconvenient in terms of using the bathroom. It was also in need of some basic cooking spices and could use more dishes. Otherwise it was well stocked.

Clean & Convenient!
We very much enjoyed our stay in this quaint home. We walked to the beach each nice - it’s a 10 minute walk up/down a bit of a hill, but we did it pushing a stroller with no problem. The house was very clean, and is bigger than it seems once you open the door to the deck. We enjoyed it very much!

Each day, we walked down to the beach and fouind it so peaceful. The property had all the ammenities that we needed and was quite confortable. The robes and plush towels added a bit of something that we did not expect which was really nice. I am not sure what the fabric softener but the scent was wonderful.

Great location on Whidbey
This sweet little spot on the south end of the island is a perfect launching spot for pretty much anything, really. It’s also sort of hard to launch from bc it’s such a nice, comfortable space. Great little barrel sauna and beautiful front yard. The deck gets wonderful morning sun. The farmers market in Bayview is a must! And only 20 mins to Langley. Great host as well!

Happy hideaway
The perfect spot for much needed respite! The house was perfect, and we wanted for nothing. Payton is an excellent host, and while we needed nothing; I have no doubt any request would have been happily met. We saw rabbits hopping around the neighborhood, and were even greeted by the local woodpecker! There's a corner market with an impressive selection, right at the mouth of the neighborhood too, in case you've forgotten anything. Views of the water from the porch, and while we didn't use the sauna, I imagine it was lovely!

We had planned to stay here for a romantic kid-free weekend, however plans changed and we had to bring out kids and dog. Payton was so understanding and quickly updated our reservation. The home was super cute, very clean, and the most comfortable beds EVER. Kitchen has all the amenities you need. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows on the fire outside. Looking forward to coming back again...without the kids :)

Whidbey Island Getaway
This property was perfect for a long weekend getaway on Whidbey Island. It’s only a short walk from the water and the deck and fire pit are great options for spending time outside enjoying the nice summer weather. There are plenty of good food options within a short drive and also plenty of space in the kitchen to prepare your own meals. The fully fenced yard is great for letting a dogs enjoy the property too.
