Charming Cabin with Mountain Views on 2 acres

Nice 2 bed 2 bath cabin, beautiful views, sleeps 4, plus recliner, reclining sofa, toddler cot, & infant pack n play. Cabin is located in a quiet subdivision 6 miles from the village of Cloudcroft. There is a large covered deck for grilling, eating, relaxing, watching elk, deer, birds & enjoying the gorgeous views! No steep driveways. The entire living area on second floor with an open floor plan for easy socializing. The kitchen is fully furnished. The bar has seating for 4 and the dinette seats 4. We have a toddler booster seat & step stool available for use. The living room has a recliner, reclining sofa, TV, internet, games & beautiful views through the large windows!
Cabin has new flooring and is newly painted. It is furnished well enough that you just need to bring food, clothes & personal items. The deck has a latch gate for children’s safety. The cabin sits on over an acre with lots of room for kids/adults to play any time of year. In the winter, guests can enjoy snow sleds & tubing on the property (not provided) or you are only 3 miles from Ski Cloudcroft for skiing or tubing. Tubes and saucers are available to rent or buy in the village.
This is a NON SMOKING & NO PET home.
ATVs/UTVs can be driven on the roads of the subdivision or taken to the nearby Lincoln National Forest trails or enjoy some hiking there. Less than 10 minutes from Cloudcroft for dining, shopping, golfing, spa, hiking, playground, ice skating, or skiing. Cabin is located about 45 minutes from Ruidoso for a wide variety of things to enjoy.

The place was everything we hoped it would be. Spectacular part of the country. The turkey hunting was tough as there were way more other hunters than expected. More than in New York state believe it or not. Could you please email the mattress brand in the main bedroom? I never slept in a more comfortable bed.

Great weekend getaway
Cabin was clean and well maintained. Kitchen has all the supplies needed for any meal. Heater and stove worked well to keep us warm during the snowstorm. Only wish we could find the snow shovel instead of having to shovel the driveway with our sled, ha.

Great time in the snow
Everything was great on this, our second visit for us. They had just gotten about 8" of snow, so our boys were able to tube and sled at the property and then we went to Ski Cloudcroft and spent a day doing ski lessons for the boys and my wife and I skied the mountain. The mountain was nice with the fresh snow, but the greens were a little tight for me to allow a first timer to go down. I will say I am thankful we went ahead and purchased a set of snow chains. With out them or 4 wheel drive we would not have been able to get in to the subdivision to the cabin. Main highway and town roads were fine. So if there is a chance of snow I would definatley recommend the purchase ahead of time. Thanks again for the great family memories.

A little slice of heaven
The property is beautiful and very comfortable. It is in driving distance to a number of sites in Cloudcroft and High Rolls. Talk a stroll through the center of Cloudcroft - the stores are fabulous and the people are very nice. My mother was with us and she loved the elk. We had many elk the first two evenings. On the third night we only had the one 10 point bull elk. He strolled down to see if the other elk were there but one of the other 10 point bull elk took them about a mile down the road. I would definitely recommend staying at this home.

We had a great time, the cabin was the perfect size. It wasn’t nestled in the trees, but had a couple to keep the sun off the deck. Elk, would come up in the evenings while cooking and begin leaving around 8 in the morning while drinking coffee in the crisp mountain air. My kids are already asking to go back.

If you don’t like 26 elk cows & their calves a few yards from you while enjoying coffee in 56 degree on a July evening book elsewhere. The throngs of beautiful hummingbirds breaking the silence of the evening are also a real problem….LOL. The cabin is secluded. No noisy neighbors. It’s in the country, not town, which is even better. Great road in-out. Private parking. Awesome elevated porch. Great beds. Ceiling fans. Well furnished with supplies. Exceptionally clean. It’s truly the perfect rental. A highly recommend this property except for the dates I want it…I’m definitely headed back to reunite with my new elk & hummingbird friends. FYI: tv & Wifii great. We drove to Whitesands about an hour. Beautiful drive. Went to ruidoso about an hour. Also a beautiful drive. Shops in town were fun as was disc golf & hiking trails. But no need to go anywhere to hike. The roads around cabin were great for a walk. Please book with confidence.

The setting for this cabin is just fantastic. The weather was wonderful as well. I had to interact several times with the owners due to my own mistakes and they were just as fantastic as their property!
